Other Notes: I had a hankering for making this vid way before ghost!Jo and it's held a spot in my brain for some time. It's such a great song and there are a few covers done that really vary in tone. A couple years ago another version of the song was used for a Justified vid made byamnisias which I highly recommend.

IDK, I've come to the conclusion that they actually had a pretty poignant and meaningful death, their death also hurt - which, you know, is kinda oddly a good thing for fiction. It's a lot more, narratively speaking, than many characters get on that show. I say that as a lover of said show. Still, I hear ya -- WHY SHOW WHY?!

Also - hi - butting in, because, the Harvelles make me FEEL THINGS and I do agree they were not necessary deaths.
But I also think that from the pov of the narrative, that was the point. The Winchesters play their best card: their support system and the Colt against Lucifer and not only doesn't it work - they lose everything and Lucifer barely notices. That it is ALL meaningless is what drives the story, and is a large part of the reason Sam comes up with his plan - to try and make their sacrifice mean SOMETHING - he can't forgive himself as Lucifer being freed was his mistake, but look at all the other people paying for it.
What really pisses me off is that when Jo comes back, Dean's the one that gets the ding - I want to see Jo talk about dying for "nothing" with Sam, dammit! But I've always kinda shipped Jo/Sam so take that for what it's worth.

I'm glad the vid made you cry, because it's a sad vid and it was supposed to.
I can be talked into having a soft spot for Sam/anyone, TBH. But I do like Sam/Jo despite Meg's interference.
