The Alarm Cell was ringing as loud as it could be. Well, now it was slamming its head against the massive red emergency button on the panel over and over again.

“Everyone this is not a drill! The 9:30 AM meeting with the Editorial Director is in exactly fifteen minutes!” Rational Cell barked through the megaphone, round glasses pushed high up on his nose as he aggressively tried to organize a mountain of color-coded folders. “Okay, so if we secure this promotion we get the budget for the novel project! Writer Cell, Creative Cell are your drafts ready to go?”

Writer Cell that was wearing a blue beret and holding an oversized fountain pen, excitedly gave a frantic thumbs-up from a pile of crumpled papers with several drabbles. “The plot outlines are done and ready! The world building makes sense too it’s all ready to go! Just don’t let Emotional Cell touch the panel!”
