Summary: Set around the end of season 4. Tom breaks up with Mike, but can't seem to let go. Michael finally has to give up his dream of a life with Tom. (Angst, now A/U.)

Author's Notes: I wrote this a number of years ago when very few people were writing Tom/Mike RPS. I posted it under another pen name because friends advised me not to link my current pen name to a RPS one. Today with RPS being generally accepted in fannish circles, I figured it was time to pull this out, re-edit it and post it under my name. If there is enough interest, I could be tempted to write a happy-ending sequel. (Or if someone else would like to write a sequel, that would be cool too).
