How to view and search for messages in Outlook 16 .ost file?

I have a disk pulled from another computer, including the complete Windows user profile. I am trying to search for messages within the Outlook .ost file. The mailbox is enormous (16GB, 70k items in inbox).

I do not know the email password, and don't even know if the email server is still up.

Software i have tried:

• https://github.com/mkorthof/ost2pst — Fails to open Outlook 16.x files.
• https://www.systoolsgroup.com/ost-viewer.html — Opens the OST file fine and allows browsing, but switching folders takes dozens of minutes and there are no search or export options.

You can try XST Reader which can open OST/PST files. I am not sure about the version of PST files I use, they are from the latest version of Office 365. In the package you have convertor to different formats.
