The kids' 2nd birthday

Well my little 4th July babies are 2 years old. Mani and Uschi were part of a litter of six, with Mani being the only boy. They've really come on this year - Uschi has calmed down somewhat and Mani has become more confident and affectionate. Unfortunately Uschi's jealousy issues have got worse, and she attacks Mani when he starts getting more attention; we're not sure how to deal with it. Also this year their Daddy Fudge died suddenly aged 7, which was really sad, and their Mummy Indie had to be neutered. Despite the jealousy issues they are still unbelievably close, and spend most of their time cuddled together.

Here are some pics from the last couple of months:

The kids - 1 year old

The kids turned 1 on 4th July. We're just so happy with them, they're so affectionate and gorgeous and are a real part of the family. Baby has calmed down a lot but still loves to lie in my arms and pad while licking my nose and chin, and Mani meows loudly for cuddles and head kisses, especially from his Daddy. They still adore each other and are like little lovers sometimes!

These photos were taken in June.

The kids - all grown up!

The kids turned 9 months old last week meaning they're no longer kittens! Uschi is still totally mad, but very very sweet and loving. She also gets very jealous when Mani is getting more attention than her, and either lies on his head or goes and sulks in another room! Mani is a far happier and more confident boy now, and loves to play. He loves snuggling on his Mum's hip and loves to sleep in bed, which doesn't happen very often because his sister wakes up at 5am prompt and wreaks havoc!

Your result for The Personality Defect Test...

Starving Artist

You are the Starving Artist! Like some sort of emaciated Frenchman, you sit in your fancy little chair and contemplate beauty, meaning, flowers, and all kinds of other ridiculous crap. You are more intuitive than logical, and are primarily guided by your heart and emotions. You are also very introverted and gentle. Of course, this does not mean that you do not have an ego. In fact, you are surprisingly arrogant for someone so emotional and gentle. This is why you are best described as a starving artist. You are very introspective and quite sure of yourself, as any accomplished artist is, yet your views are impractical, guided by feelings, and overly gentle. You probably find math, logic, and similar intellectual pursuits offensive to your artistic sensibilities, and you prefer the open-endedness of artistry because it's infinitely easier to ponder the beauty of a sock than to build rocketships. So really you have no reason to be arrogant, you big doofus, because the skills you value (emotion, spirit, art, etc.) in yourself are valuable only on a subjective level, meaning your arrogance is purely masturbatory, like the insipid self-pleasuring of some twat who spouts artistic nonsense only for the pleasant tinkling sound it makes upon his indiscriminating ears. In short, your personality is defective because you are arrogant, introverted, introspective, gentle, and thoroughly irrational...posessing most of the traits needed to be a starving--and useless--artist. So get out there, write a few short stories that are allegories for the indestructible spirit of socks, and starve!

To put it less negatively:

1. You are more INTUITIVE than rational.

2. You are more INTROVERTED than extroverted.

3. You are more GENTLE than brutal.

4. You are more ARROGANT than humble.

Compatibility:

Your exact opposite is the Capitalist Pig.

Other personalities you would probably get along with are the Haughty Intellectual, the Televangelist, and the Emo Kid.

The kids - 8 months

Managed to get some great pics of the kids last week. They're now 8 months and are getting really big.

We've been having major problems with their chewing habit, especially Mani, who ended up at the vet on Saturday morning after swallowing two pieces of thick plastic wrapping. This left him feeling poorly and us £100 worse off - thank god our vet has weekend surgeries so there's no extra charge! It's even more annoying because I bought him a puppy kong teething chew toy a week before, which he does love, but he can't kick his plastic habit. Apparently it's a trait of Tonkies, little gits!
