Hey, this is Christina, the creater of this community. I'm new to the whole LJ thing, so please be patient with me as I try and work out all of the quirks! I started this community because the previous community I went to for submariner support had slowed quite a bit. No one had posted in over a month!

The only reason that it's not open to join freely is because some military based groups have had issues revolving around security issues. Also, a major concern is those who are not in the military, or involved in the military, or even interested in the military, scoping out military based sites. By this I mean the following: if you are a girl looking for a Navy guy to have a relationship with, this is NOT the group for you. I know that might sound a bit absurd to some, but I've seen the girls around my guys subase lurking for a new Navy guy to pick up!

Please email me and I will approve you to join. Once you've been accepted please post an introduction type post letting us all know who you are and why you've joined. There are no specifics required, although age and base location (if you're stationed) are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Christina

PS- Don't forget that most of what submariners do is not supposed to be relased. No exact dates, or even general guesses should be stated. For example, "My sailor comes home in like a week," violates rules that I can't even begin to explain. Basically, if you aren't sure if it can be said, do NOT say it. Generalize, generalize, generalize!
