Scooter's Subculture Pets

On April 23rd 2009, The Natural Resources Committee of the U.S. Congress will hold a hearing on H.R. 669, a resolution that will in effect ban importation, interstate transport, and the private ownership of most birds, mammals, reptiles, and fish as pets. Should HR669 be adopted as written only the following nonnative animals
would be allowed:

-Cats (Felis catus)
-Cattle/Oxen (Bos taurus)
-Chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus)
-Dogs (Canis lupus familiaris)
-Donkey/Asses (Equus asinus)
-Domesticated Geese (family Anatidae)
-Domesticated Ducks (Anas spp.)
-Goats (Capra aegagrus hircus)
-Common Goldfish (Carassius auratus auratus)
-Horses (Equus caballus)
-Llama (Lama glama)
-Mule/Hinny (Equus caballus x E. asinus)
-Domesticated Pigs/Hogs (Sus scrofa domestica)
-Domesticated Rabbit vatieties (Oryctolagus cuniculus)
-Sheep (Ovis aries)

Should this resolution be adopted into law as written it will have a devastating impact on every pet owner and business in the United States.

Action is needed TODAY to protect your rights to keep your pets! (So call/email/write your local congressrep voicing your opposition)

I try not to barage myspace too much with HerpPins.com updates, but theres a lot of new things worth mentioning.

Hello all!
My name is usually Dandy, but my mother called me Laura. I just joined today. I'm a goth, but I'm more of a Me.
I personally live with my tortoiseshell-tabby baby girl, Sita the cat, and my poor girlfriend-less rabbit friend, Buckthorn. Buckthorn is a run-of-the-mill wild type rabbit, ie he is a sort of agouti brownish with an orangeish patch on the neck-shoulder area and big upwards-pointing ears. He is pretty large. He and the cat are best friends. I am starting to worry about him, though; he's started to hump his pinecone chew toy, and as funny as that is, I'm sure it isn't good for his privates. I'm in Melbourne; anyone know of a nice female regular run-of-the-mill rabbit to breed with him? I don't think the splinters agree with him.
My gf has a few more pets, which must be kept far from my cat. She has a big fat white-and-brown hooded rat named Peddler, a bearded dragon named Nevin, a python named Patches, an extremely evil and noisy small-parrot-large-parakeet-green-thing that hates me called Poe, and a rather broken rescued chihuahua cross named Jimmy. Jimmy hears and sees things that aren't there, and attacks people who are hugging.

I suppose I'll just reiterate the previous question; anyone know where I can get a breedable standard female rabbit for my poor horny guy? In Melbourne? I've been having trouble finding anything but expensive angoras and rather useless things like dwarf lops, which I think he would either kill outright or rip apart with his penis.

So, I found out about this site the other day and created a profile (albeit, for herppins.com). Basic premise is a social networking site (like myspace) for herpers.

If you have a profile add me and say hi! Its kinda' sparse at the moment, but could have potential.

Happy Halloween from Ugly Shyla and The Black Pope Lamb

New, albeit blurry pictures of my eight-legged children. My cell phone camera leaves something to be desired, as does my current lack of photo editing software. One of these days, I'll have my own computer hooked up again and will not want for editing. Really.

Aoife, my G. pulchra demanded new pics after her molt. And Claudia, my G. rosae just wanted to roam about my bed looking fierce.

Please go to Nike.com or call their customer service and let them know what you think about them being the only sponser not dropping mike vick for his role in dog fighting. Suggest that they look up some websites that show dog fighting. Offer to email them some pictures. I told them that since Nike approves of dogs being made to destroy each other for amusement that I let my dogs destroy Nike products for amusement. I suggested that they publicly drop vick and denounce his activities and make generous donations to animal rescue and rehab.
