Basic needs security refers to the food, housing, and economic stability of our community, recognizing their direct impact on students’ health, well-being, academic success, and overall experience. Student Basic Needs is committed to connecting students at USC with supplemental resources and support they need to thrive.
Vision
Ensuring student well-being through food, housing, and economic support.
Mission
The Student Basic Needs department fosters a culture of holistic well-being by helping to eliminate life barriers such as food, housing, and economic insecurity, that may jeopardize student academic and personal success.
We support students by developing initiatives, streamlining communication with campus partners, and connecting students to campus and community resources.
Our Team
Our Student Basic Needs team includes full-time professionals, undergraduate and graduate students, community liaisons, and student volunteers with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Each team member contributes to our mission and values and is prepared to support you when you visit our space.
