After days of wonderment... The Daily Show with John Stewart had their FIRST EVER musical act with Jack and Meg inc. today. It was pretty rcoking, after the really obnoxious advertsiement for the cd which was unhappily sponsored by best buy, The white stripes finally took the... side of the stage. I was deep in wonderment with what song the duo would play. I was then ecstatic to hear they'd be playing TWO songs off their latest album. The first song was the hardest rockin version of The Denial Twist that I've heard, and I have to say, I am really disappointed that he didn't use that hard rock on the album because it sounds unbelieveably good. After my mom got over her shock of their being a girl drummer wearing red frilly something, they took a commercial break and broke into.. ta da! My DOORBELL which unfortunately they didn't play on guitar, and double unfortunately they cut the song off half way through for the end of the show. All in all, I think it was cool to see, however I was hoping to see Jack talk a little more about his political views in america. especially after his comment in glastonbury "we're sorry about the rain... and we're sorry we're from america." Maybe a true statement, but i do wonder what he thinks.
Hi guys, I have a ticket up for grabs for Ally Pally on Tuesday 8th. I'd rather someone had it and used it than it going to waste so I'm willing to sell it for a bit under the face value if anyone's interested. It cost me £27.50 but I'll consider lower offers (not stupidly low of course.) If you're interested, drop me an email and we'll sort out something. First come first served I'm afraid. Email me on absinthe_drunk_faery @ hotmail. com
Nothing dodgy by the way, I had a change of plans and managed to get a ticket to one of the Hammersmith gigs instead and like I said, I'd rather give someone the chance to go than have it go to waste (and lose money of course!)
I'm still looking for the Stripes version of Black Jack Davy. I'm pretty sure that it's only been performed live and never recorded, but I'd love to get my hands on it.
I saw the White Stripes on Tuesday the 20th at the Boston Opera House. I took down the set list but there were a couple of songs that I wasn't sure what they were. Was anyone at this show that might be able to fill in my gaps?

It's not even a colorbar, but I think it's pretty good! Should anyone want to make it a colorbar and return it to me, I'd be eternally greatful. Comment and credit if used, no hotlinking, yadda yadda.
