Friends Only Actually... not all of the entries will be friends only. But many will.
If you find yourself removed from my friends list, it's probably because you haven't updated in over six months. I like to have an accurate number of how many people on my flist actually still use livejournal. Poke me if you start updating again.
1. Someone wrote me an Abigail Hobbs Hunger Games fic - I've got a plan; I've got an atlas in my hands (also on AO3). Or at least in response to a prompt I left, which I count as FOR ME. It's really good, everyone should go read it now.
2. On a related note, I'm reccing Hannibal this month at crack_van. ...which I'm really behind on wow I should go write up a rec after this post.
3. Apparently my Princess Tutu tumblr reblogs has coerced people into watching. This pleases me. In an attempt to lure more people, I am linking to Hold Me (also on amv.org). (...has spoilers, but the plot of the series is complex enough that I don't think it really matters. This is the traditional amv to pimp the series with.) The series is adorable and epic and awesome with gender and basically about punching narratives in the face and solving emotional issues through dance.
I mean, aside from the kink meme. (Which is 95% Hannibal/Will. Which I ship! But I also like/ship other characters.) Go prompt!! Go write me things!!!!!!
There is so much fic I need to be written for this show. So much. And I'm afraid to prompt it all because then people will find me obnoxious :( SO I WAIT
I have a lot of fic ideas for someone who doesn't write fic :(
EDIT: Someone on tumblr put together an inventory of Will's clothes. ...I think Hannibal wears more clothing in an episode or two than exists in Will's entire wardrobe. Will just really doesn't care. But he folds his undershirts with almost military neatness...
Bryan Fuller has previously described season one as "the seduction" and "the bromance". And season two as "the messy breakup" of Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham.
Do you know what this means
this means that I will get to see Dr. Hannibal Lecter's ass ARRESTED
Mom: Oh are you watching Bill Maher? Me: What, no, I was checking what was on. Mom: Good, I hate that guy. Me: I hate that guy too. *~bonding~* Mom: I think he's a pig. Me: He really is.
Gosh I love bonding over mutual dislike.
(No, seriously, I really dislike Bill Maher. Sometimes he says good things, but he has this condescending, anti-religious attitude. Islamophobia, sexism, etc. Just. Ugh.)
So with the third episode of Bates Motel, I realize that I am actually attached to characters. This is distressing, since there's no way everyone is making it out of this season alive. And because baby Norman Bates is going to grow up into the sweet young man who kills people while dressed up like his mother we see in Psycho.
I just. I was not expecting actual attachment and now it is too late. Why do I do this to myself.
(yes i'm judging me too)
(ps: i'm pretty sparse these days but will be back once the term is over)
EDIT: I put more of my actual thoughts on the show in a ridiculously long comment below.
(...I mean I'm kind of unsure about the idea of the movie actually being GOOD, as movie follow ups of tv shows rarely are, but. These characters!! Their relationships! The dialogue! FACES!!!! So you know.)
I want to prompt crossovers with Revenge, because class conflict and skeletons in the closet and hard-edged Chessmaster girls investigating shit and wearing disguises, but I can't think of anything specific to leave as a prompt than that right now. In the morning, hopefully. (Wait oh god what if Mac worked for Nolan's company?? She is appropriately morally ambiguous too.)
