The girl next door just happens to be a Batman-obsessed, semi-colon-loving bookworm.
As a writer and editor, I play with words on a daily basis for fun and profit. I am a nerd of many zesty varieties -- word nerd, comics nerd, Jossverse nerd, grammar nerd. Coffee junkie. Wine snob. Mac geek. Smart-ass. Sarcastibitch. I once shot a man in Reno, not to watch him die, but because he misused a semi-colon in my presence.
I love stories. I don't care about the medium; it's the story itself that matters. Comics, television, movies, novels -- I love them all. Give me a good story, and I'm happy.
My first love, as a 5-year-old, was Spider-Man. I make jokes about semi-colons and Avogadro, but I also laugh my ass off at Dude, Where's My Car? and Eddie Izzard. I can cook a perfect 3-minute egg, and make kick-ass chili. I can also explain, at great length, the chronology of the Batfamily. Including the deep and dirty beautiful love between Robin and Superboy.
I am, in short, as they say in the Latin, a Dorkus Malorkus. ["That's not Latin!"]
I'm also dead serious about my feminism, my liberal politics, and my belief that Pete Rose should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Do NOT even try to argue with me about those topics. You will not win.
