Steam Music has exited beta, with release to all Steam customers in today's Steam Client Update. THANK YOU to everyone who's helped us test and improve the feature over the course of the beta. We'll continue to review your thoughts in the discussions as we improve the feature in future client updates, so please do keep the feedback coming.

In celebration of today's release, we are offering free soundtrack DLC for many of Valve's games. These same games are 75% off through Oct 1, 10am PST.

And of course, there are dozens of other great soundtracks on Steam, so now's great time to grab your favorites and give 'em a listen with Steam Music.

You know all those Steam soundtracks you've been collecting alongside your games? Now they're automatically added to your Steam Music library when the associated base game is installed.

This update also includes a richer desktop detail view of your albums and artists, plus a persistent queue across Steam client sessions.

Give the new features a spin after opting into the latest Steam Beta update, then head over to the discussions and let us know what soundtracks you're listening to. We have the Transistor Soundtrack set on repeat these days. Did you know It includes an extended set of *hummed* versions of each of the tracks? Well, it does!
