level II classes are boring... but hanging out with managers from across the state is kind of fun. we get to exchange stories about all sorts of crap. good times.

there are like 8 managers in the classes, 2 from jackson, 1 from portage, 1 from holland, 1 from south lansing, 1 from battle creek, 1 from Livonia, Me (West Lansing).

just getting the sympathy from other people in your same position is nice. plus we get to exchange ideas, and methods of doing things.... it's a great night at steak 'n shake

as the thunderbird flies

i cannot believe that there is a steak and shake group...i practically live there! ok, so i must admit, my reasons for frequenting this 24 hour meat hole are not completely pristine (to wit: i go there because i lust after a specific waiter) but im there often enough drinking coffee to pronounce myself a steak and shakian....lol i'm such a freak, anyways, loves from kalamazoo, mi

don't ask me how i know

JOE IS MANAGEMENT!

that's right, I just finished my final exam, and they tell me that I know enough to be a manager for the good ol' SNS!

I don't know how much I make as a manager yet, but I do know that I will be getting salery not hourly pay... I won't be posting that number here... wouldn't want anyone to get jellous.

managerial duiess

So... it has been a while since i said anything in here...

I am being made a manager now, it is good times, they put me up in a hotel 5 nights a week in Grand Rapids.

I do 4 ten hour shifts wed-sat and then we have class on tue that we get paid for 10 hours (even though it rarely goes past 5 hours)

that is 10 hours of overtime, plus i am allowed to stay later if i want.

My "official title" is "MIT/OS" because for these next few months I am going to be and Operations Specialist, which is basicly an hourly manager. I have to do that because there isnt an opening for a salleried manager at the Okemos store. But when the new store on the west side opens, I will get promoted up to manager.

I am training at the Clyde Park store at the corner of Clyde Park and 54th. it is fun, the employees are incrediably nice. and I am amazed by how many regular coffee drinkers they have there.

...

this is dragging out... basicly i am going to be a manager soon.
