State Radio is by far my favorite band. This is the only LJ community I found dedicated to them, however it seems to be very much dead. Anyone out there? If so, let's keep the community alive!

(How, I'm not sure. Discussion! New tour, NEW ALBUM! With great NEW songs. Personally I love "Evolution" and "Knights" best [of what I've heard] But the album drops in less then two weeks! Who else is stoked!?)

We kick off a huge US Tour today, SR Nation...

We're back from a great tour in the UK and Europe but we're already on our way to your town in the US. Before anything else, we want to thank all of our old and new fans overseas for coming out to the shows we had there - we had so much fun and the shows were awesome.

And TONIGHT... we kick off the Year of the Crow album release tour in PROVIDENCE RI over at Lupo's. Come on down and help us kick off the tour, with our friends On the Drop opening. Also this week we hit Burlington, Hartford, DC, and Zili Misik will be opening up in those three cities. We might have a couple things planned and up our sleeve for ya, too. It's going to be fun!

If you haven't had a chance to pick up your copy of Year of the Crow, you can pick it up at any of our shows on tour or order online in the merch store or at iTunes. We also have three brand new tee shirt designs plus one limited edition tee! Keep an eye on the SR.com merch store - they will be up for sale any day now...

Hello fellow State fans, the name is Julie. I really started getting into Dispatch three or four years ago after a friend turned me on to them. After doing a little research on where the three of them ended up after Dispatch split, I came upon State Radio. I saw them back in March at the Metro in Chicago and I had an unbelievable time. I'm seeing them again October 20th in Madison and then November 10th at the House of Blues in Chicago. =]

I thought it was cool how Chad stayed after the show at the merch table until every single last person had left. I've been to shows where the band members are out of sight once they're off stage. It just showed me how much he truly cared about all of his fans, and that rocks.

Hello, my name is Ana and I've been a fan of Dispatch and State Radio for about 2 years, now (gah, this sounds like an AA meeting, lol).

Anyway, I was extremely sad that I couldn't see them in their UK tour. The only other person I know who likes them was rubbish and couldn't come with me (some crap story about going to university. I mean, what kind of an excuse is that?!). So, did anyone go to any of these gigs? Any stories or photos?

I have been a fan of State Radio since the beginning when they were Flag of the Shiners.  I've been a fan of Dispatch's since '99 and followed Chad's music when the band broke up.  I'd always been a fan of his songs and politics.  I've seen State Radio 13 times (my 14th show is in November!!) in 5 different states.  How did everyone else hear about them?

For those of you who are anticipating the release of Year of the Crow as much as we are, we just got some news... We unfortunately have to keep you on your toes for just a little longer. Due to manufacturing issues we will not be able to ship the record until after 9/25, and this applies to anyone who has pre-ordered from our store. And the new iTunes release date is 9/25. However, don't let it get you down... The autographed posters for the first 500 pre-orders are already on their way! AND, we just posted another new track, "Gang of Thieves," up on MySpace to help hold you over until the 25th (any minute now...MySpace tells us it's "processing"!!).
