Walkers were armored cavalry vehicles that moved on mechanical legs,^[2] often deployed for combat, excavation or scout purposes across a variation of terrain.^[3] They could possess any number of legs between two^[4] and twelve.^[5] They were utilized by the Galactic Republic,^[6] the Galactic Empire, the Rebel Alliance,^[7] the New Republic, Imperial Remnants including Imperial territory G5-623,^[8] Visler Korda's faction,^[9] and the First Order.^[10]

Skara Nal Mech

An ancient walker and a superweapon created by the culture of the Ancients eons before the founding of the Jedi Order was a massive, four-legged vehicle, armed with a head-mounted energy weapon capable of significant amounts of destruction.^[11]

All Terrain Attack Pod

The All Terrain Attack Pod (AT-AP) was a three-legged walker initially used by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars.^[13] They were later used by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire.^[7]

All Terrain Tactical Enforcer

The All Terrain Tactical Enforcer (AT-TE) was a hexapodal walker used by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. The walker had six laser cannon turrets, a heavy projectile mass-driver cannon, and legs that could be magnetized to climb up and down walls.^[14]^[15]

All Terrain Reconnaissance Transport

The All Terrain Reconnaissance Transport (AT-RT) was a small bipedal walker used by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. The walker had an open cockpit, and a single chin-mounted laser cannon. Two of these could be stored in the back of an AT-TE. They were also used by the Empire, the Rebel Alliance, and the First Order.

All Terrain Open Transport

The All Terrain Open Transport (AT-OT) was an octapodal walker used by the Galactic Republic toward the end of the Clone Wars.^[13] Its open top allowed it to transport more troopers across the battlefield.^[15]

OG-9 Homing Spider Droid

The OG-9 homing spider droid, a four-legged battle droid manufactured by Baktoid Armor Workshop, was notably used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars.^[22]

Octuptarra tri-droid

The Octuptarra tri-droid was a model of three-legged heavy assault droid walker designed by the Techno Union for the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars, and participated in major battles such as the Battle of Christophsis and the Battle of Utapau.

The All Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT) was a quadrupedal walker used by the Galactic Empire after the fall of the Galactic Republic.^[23] With a height of over 20 meters,^[24] the walker relied heavily on intimidation.^[25]

The All Terrain Armored Cargo Transport (AT-ACT)^[26] was a quadrupedal walker used by the Galactic Empire that featured a dedicated cargo bed for the transportation of heavy building materials or combat munitions.^[27] These vehicles shared a similar design with the AT-AT, although they were larger to accommodate storage space and featured less weaponry.

The All Terrain Armored Cannon, or AT-AC, was a bipedal walker that served in the Galactic Empire. The walker was the forerunner to the AT-ST and AT-DP.^[28]

The All Terrain Defense Pod (AT-DP) was a bipedal walker used by the Galactic Empire primarily for patrols and scouting missions.^[30] The walker could seat two crew members; a driver and a gunner.^[31] A variant of the AT-DP was the AT-DP Arc Cannon Prototype, which carried the Arc Pulse Generator, a superweapon.^[32]

The All Terrain Scout Transport (AT-ST) was a bipedal walker used by the Empire as means to eliminate smaller forces.^[34] They were often deployed along with the larger AT-ATs to back them up and eliminate smaller forces.^[35] The AT-ST had a more heavily-armored variant known as the AT-ST Mark III.^[7]

Versatile-Athletic Walker

The Versatile-Athletic Walker (VAW), nicknamed the "zalaaca walker" after the species of the same name, was an experimental personal scout walker used by Alliance to Restore the Republic.^[36]

Mobile loading gantry

In use in the galaxy^[37]^[38] by 9 ABY,^[39] the mobile loading gantry was a type of walker used as a crane. The heavy industrial crane transport (HI-CT) was used on the water moon of Trask,^[37] while another similar model was used by the New Republic in the Karthon Chop Fields.^[38]
