A sensor array was a type of sensor device commonly found on starships. The array consisted of three components: the actual sensors themselves which collected data, a computer to interpret that data, and a display to present these findings to the operator. Larger vessels could have more sophisticated arrays with greater computational power, allowing them to more easily detect objects, although their size likewise made them easier to detect as well.[5] Equipped starships included Resistance transport pods, the RZ-2 A-wing interceptor, and the Upsilon-class command shuttle.[3]
