A power core was a device that provided energy to a starship[2] and to droids such as astromech droids.[1] The Millennium Falcon was powered by a Quadex power core.[3] A stock YT-2400 light freighter had a power core that had nearly twice the energy output of other starship models in the YT-series.[2]
