"If I'd stayed in, I'd probably be wearing white plastoid now like some of the academy recruits."

Stormtroopers used 18 plastoid plates for their armor.

Plastoid was a type of material used in armor.

    History

Clone trooper armor consisted of a set of form-fitting plastoid plates worn over a black body glove,[2] with the Phase I armor being sealed to the body glove by magnatomic grip panels.[3]

The armor was vulnerable to direct blaster fire. Plastoid was used in the construction of certain Separatist droids. Stormtrooper armor was made of a plastoid composite that was impervious to chemical warfare. Therefore, it featured an air filter in the helmet and a built in oxygen tank.[4]

The armor worn by Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader used plastoid. Vader's girdle was made from plastoid.[5] When Luke Skywalker burned Vader's armor on Endor,[6] only the charred and twisted remains of the partially molten helmet,[7] were left behind.[6]

Plastoid armor was worn by Ap'lek, a member of the Knights of Ren.[8]
