Plastex was a material that could be used to create domes for astromech droids. While in the workshop of the droidsmith Babu Frik, Rey noticed an astromech dome made of plastex, and, as a former scavenger, considered that it would be easy to buff out the scorch marks and sell it for profit. Beverage cups could also be made in plastex.[1]
