The Pacanth Reach was a sector located in the Outer Rim Territories. It contained the mountainous planet Ovanis,[1] where a skirmish between the First Order and the Resistance happened in 32 ABY.[4][5] The planet was home to the Crèche religion, whose adherents worshipped a giant blue egg, which they believed housed a savior that would bring salvation and reward them for their services.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Pacanth Reach had its first appearance in canon in Poe Dameron 1, the first issue of the comic book series Star Wars: Poe Dameron.[4] However it was first identified as the Pacanth Reach in the reference book Star Wars Encyclopedia: The Comprehensive Guide to the Star Wars Galaxy.[1]
In Star Wars Legends, it was first mentioned in the Shadows of the Empire Sourcebook a roleplaying guide published by West End Games in June of 1996.[6]
