A magna lock, or magna-lock, was a device used by the Galactic Empire on its prisoners. Whilst on the planet Wobani, a stormtrooper used a magna-lock to connect the center of Jyn Erso's stuncuffs to a chair.[2] Decades before, in the time of the Galactic Republic, magna lock technology was used in the Coruscant Jedi Temple to hold metal grates in place on the walls. These metal grates covered the openings to service ducts running throughout the temple and could be removed with the use of the Force.[1]
