Lodestone was a type of rock used in Jedi star compasses and wayfinders.[1]
Behind the scenes
Lodestones first appeared in the Star Wars Legends novel Republic Commando: True Colors by Karen Traviss, and were brought into canon when Pablo Hidalgo mentioned them in the reference book Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Visual Dictionary.
