A commando was an elite soldier who specialized in environments or situations that were beyond the capacity of normal infantry men.[1] Examples included the Galactic Senate's Senate Commandos,[2] the Grand Army of the Republic's clone commandos,[3] and Maul's Mandalorian super commandos.[4] The Separatist Droid Army fielded BX-series droid commandos to serve as commando-level battle droids,[3] with the Techno Union's Skakoan commandos also serving the Separatist cause.[5] During the Galactic Empire's reign, death troopers served as special-assignment commandos.[6] Uingali foar Marocsaa and his Paccian Governance had a unit of Paccian commandos that he used to board the Hammer and kill Colonel Tildnis.[7] Commandos who served the Crimson Dawn syndicate wore red robes and were active during Lady Qi'ra's time as syndicate leader.[8] The criminal organization Haxion Brood also employed commandos as muscle.[9]
