Star Wars __ Rants

Are you a huge Star Wars fan but there is just something that drives you crazy? Something from the movies or the Expanded Universe? Does Luke whine too much for your taste, or can you just not find that bloody shoe no matter how many times you pause and scan on your DVD? Does a certain actor from the movies annoy the crap out of you? Or even worse, are you POSITIVE that a canon character is basically a Mary Sue? This is the community for you.

Here any rant is acceptable. You can rant about the movies, the books, and even fanfiction. Has a canon character been turned into a Mary Sue/Stu? Show us how bad he/she is here. There are a few rules though...

General Rules

1. Be nice. Respect each others opinions. This is a place to rant, which means that there will be strong emotions about what someone is saying and it's okay to disagree, but don't attack each other.
   
2. No trolling. If you come here to cause trouble, you will be banned.
   
3. Please keep everything on topic. This doesn't mean that you'll be banned for posting OT (off topic), but don't do it frivolously. If you abuse it, I'll put you on moderated posts.
   
4. Use the Subject Line. Example, "Anakin Skywalker Rant" as opposed to "OMG!!! I FUCKING HATE ANIIKAN!!!onE1".
   
5. Please write using proper English. Netspeak, while used to make a humorous point every now and then, is not going to be tolerated here. I hate netspeak with the fire of a thousand suns.

Fanfiction Sporking Rules
This really isn't a place to lampoon Mary Sue fanfiction. That's what starwars_sues, deleterius (for Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings), and the original marysues. However, I'll allow it if it's a fanfic with NO (or at least not centered on) original characters. This means the main characters must be from the movies or expanded universe.If you post a report on one of these please use this format:

Please include a small sample of the worst of this story:

1. Do NOT post a whole story. Doing this WILL get a community tossed off of LiveJournal.
   
2. Don't post a link to an author's LiveJournal. Unless you have permission from the author DO NOT DO IT!
   
3. Use the LJ cut tag! It's very annoying to have extra long posts on people's friends page.
   
4. If the story you're posting is NC-17 put it uder a cut. If it's not work safe, it must be under a cut. We don't want anyone to be embarassed if they're reading in public or get in trouble, mkay?
