Day 29 of SSO posting: Punting Fripp
man sometimes friendship really is just "I saw this and knew it would give you psychic damage. please respond with agony" and then they do. and it's great
artist in denial of being depressed: omg this 2 month long art block has been crazy... sorry i haven't updated any of my fics in a long while! it's just been super difficult to daydream! so weird that i've lost a little bit of passion for my current comfort character and ocs... this couldn't possibly have any implications or alternative explanations
people saying some variation to "oh no" in the notes of this post are very funny but at the same time. i wish you a very Feel Better
everyone loves to hate terfs until they realise that it actually entails rejecting bioessentialism entirely and then suddenly you’re “taking things too seriously” and you “don’t have a sense of humour” like i’m sorry but saying protect the dolls doesn’t make you immune to terfism it has seeped into every corner of mainstream feminism and unless you’re actively searching it out and checking your own biases you will always be at risk of sharing a space with terfs
“Only women can—” nope. “But all men—” nah. “The divine femininity of—” gonna stop you right there. “Everyone born ama—” if you finish that sentence I’ll kill you. “Men don’t experience—” you’re wrong. “Gender isn’t real but sex is imm—” *loud incorrect buzzer*
It also goes without saying that bioessentialism inherently can’t be trans inclusive no matter how hard you try. “All men including trans men—” probably not. “This is only a woman’s issue—” is it really? “Afabs only—” why? “All trans men are like—” what? what are they like? finish the sentence i dare you.
I don’t know about kink at pride but you know where there shouldn’t be kink? my fucking hoses
My fucking hoses
A brief history of The Internet:
1990s: Computers scream when we go online
2000s: Computers stopped screaming when we go online
2010s: We started screaming when we go online
2020s: We are always online. We are always screaming
In honor of one whopper of a Sonoran monsoon season, got any neat and strange monsoon season creatures?
Well, the first thing that comes to mind are the various "rain frogs" around the world...
Purple Frog (Nasikabatrachus sahyadrensis), female, family Nasikabatrachidae, endemic to the Western Ghats of India
- Adult frog described in 2003, though the juvenile frog was described in 1917. (Though, of course, the adult frog was known by local people).
- This frog spends most of its life underground, and emerges to mate during monsoon rains.
- Unlike many burrowing frogs, which emerge to feed above ground, this species feeds on termites underground (as well as feeding above).

Day 28 of SSO posting: Him fancy
i love when kids are obsessed with a thing that isnt really designed for children but not in the like. edgy adult inappropriate way. im talking like my childhood obsession with antiques roadshow. or my cousin who's favorite toy was a photographers tripod. like not the camera JUST the tripod. kids are so silly and delightful sometimes.
