Kinda makes you think...

Jacked from Julie at HL...

It caught my eye that Dr. Masaru Emoto had been invited to the U.N.
on May 26, 2005 to do a seminar. Masaru Emoto is an internationally
renowned researcher who gained worldwide acclaim by showing how
water is deeply connected to our individual and collective
consciousness. His message is simple, profound, and far-reaching.

Dr. Emoto was introduced to the concept of micro cluster water in
the U.S. and Magnetic Resonance Technology. He undertook extensive
research of water around the planet, not so much as a scientific
researcher but more from the perspective of an original thinker. At
length he realized that it was in the frozen crystal form that
showed us its true nature.

In a series of experiments he shows us that the water crystal's
structure can be altered by the thought vibrations aimed at it. In
other words, the observer will have a personal vibrational effect on
the crystal. A crystal that has been blessed will reveal itself
with lovely symmetry, whereas a crystal that has had hateful
thoughts aimed at it will show a marked loss of symmetry and
beauty. Since our bodies are composed of 70-80% water, this seems
highly significant when viewed from a health standpoint.

Dr. Emoto suggests to us, with photographs to illustrate, that the
power of prayer does work. The thoughts aimed at the water affected
the water and changed its structure, making it more beautiful. Some
of his photographs were used in the movie, "What the Bleep Do We
Know?"

Anyway, back to the seminar . . .
The theme of the seminar was: How Can The Spiritual Dimensions Of
Science And Consciousness Help The United Nations And Humanity
Achieve Better Standards Of Life In Larger Freedom?

The seminar began with a Tibetan bell. People meditated quietly and
then a flute was played.

Then Ida Urso spoke about how and why the seminar was planned. She
quoted Albert Einstein saying that a problem can't be solved in the
same state of consciousness that created it. (wow, I LOVE that
quote!) This means that we should heighten our consciousness and
solve our problems in a spiritual dimension.

Then Dr. Emoto spoke about the subject with much passion. He showed
some of his photographs, and also a film `The Messages of Water',
which shows water crystals growing in motion. Dr. Emoto also says
that music is vibration itself, and has a great power to heal.

Dr. Emoto's book is called "The Secret Life of Water" (he has
written others on this subject also). "The Secret Life of Water"
talks extensively about water's ability to show us the answers—how
to live happily, the meaning of loving nature, and the direction we
should take. Water can act as a mirror, and the quality of water is
a reflection of our hearts. Mr. Emoto stresses that the current
water situation is serious. The first step toward protecting the
earth and water is to focus on our prayers.

The seminar was very successful and Dr. Emoto received a standing
ovation.

Anyway, I thought a few people might be interested in this. To me,
it seems to offer some amount of evidence in the ideas
that "thoughts are thing", "our thoughts have power over the health
of our own bodies" and that "positive thinking raises our
vibrational level whereas negative thinking lowers it". These are
all ideas that I believe in very strongly.

Goddess Prayer Beads

I had this saved to post... and forgot about it.
So here goes...

Goddess Prayer Beads:

13 white 8mm beads for the Maiden
13 red 8mm beads for the Mother
13 black 8mm beads for the Crone
1 silver 10mm bead representing the Full Moon
52 silver spacer beads
(class “E” 6/0) representing the Moonlight.

Size 10 crochet yarn white or ecru, or color of choice

You may begin and end stringing anywhere in the loop, but the tie-off is less visible in the midst of the black beads.

The silver Moon bead is separated from the White Maiden beads by four (4) silver spacer beads. Each white Maiden bead is followed by one silver spacer bead, but the thirteenth bead is followed by four (4) spacer beads.

Then come the red Mother beads, each followed by one silver spacer, but the 13th bead is followed by four (4) spacers.

Then come the black Crone beads, each followed by one silver bead, but the 13th is followed by four (4) spacers. And so we are back at the silver Moon bead.

In other words, beads of the same color are separated by one spacer. The three sets of beads and the larger Moon bead are separated by four spacers. Thirteen (13) beads are used in each set to signify the thirteen months of the lunar year. The silver spacers represent moonlight issuing from the Full Moon bead throughout the life cycle of Maiden, Mother, Crone.

Prayers are said on each bead, while meditating on the mysteries of the Triple Goddess, and the experience of the human life cycle.

Men may wish to make a devotion to the Horned God, and honor the life cycle of Youth, Father, and Sage.

Sedona's Energy Vortexes

A friend of mine is leaving onn a road trip today with some girlfriends. This is where they are headed... I wish I could go too...

There are several energy centers, or vortexes of subtle energy, located in the Sedona area. (In Sedona, the energy centers are referred to as vortexes rather than vortices.) The energy from these vortexes saturates the whole area in and around Sedona, and can be noticed in a subtle but general way anywhere around town. If you actually go to one of the vortex sites, which is where the energy is strongest, it can be a very uplifting experience. The energy you take in at one of these energy centers can stay with you and affect you positively for days afterwards.

In addition to being a beautiful and serene place, Sedona has long been known as a spiritual power center. This is because the power that emanates from the vortexes produces some of the most remarkable energy on the planet. This energy is the reason Sedona is full of people that are "on the path", that is, people who have made a commitment to grow and become as much as they can spiritually. It is also the reason that such a large New Age community has sprung up in the Sedona area, bringing with it a variety of spiritual practices and alternative healing modalities, and it is the reason Sedona has sometimes been called a spiritual Disneyland.

We have personally found the energy centers at Sedona both exciting and growth inspiring. If you are at all sensitive to the more subtle things, the experience of standing at one of these vortexes, and letting the energy flow into you and through you, can be almost overwhelming. People come from all over the world to experience this.

What is a Vortex?
A vortex is the funnel shape created by a whirling fluid or by the motion of spiraling energy. Familiar examples of vortex shapes are whirlwinds, tornadoes, and water going down a drain. A vortex can be made up of anything that flows, such as wind, water, or electricity.

The vortexes in Sedona are swirling centers of subtle energy coming out from the surface of the earth. The vortex energy is not exactly electricity or magnetism, although it does leave a slight measurable residual magnetism in the places where it is strongest.

There are four main energy vortexes in Sedona. The subtle energy that exists at these locations interacts with who a person is inside. The energy resonates with and strengthens the Inner Being of each person that comes within about a quarter to a half mile of it. This resonance happens because the vortex energy is very similar to the subtle energy operating in the energy centers inside each person. If you are at all a sensitive person, it is easy to feel the energy at these vortexes.

If you are planning a trip to Sedona, here is a map to help you easily locate the four main energy vortexes. On the map, a diamond indicates the location of a vortex. Although the Sedona area has many hiking trails that only a vigorous hiker can enjoy, the vortexes are all easy to get to, and no strenuous hiking is required to get to any of them.

OUIJA BOARD

The Ouija Board has been around since the time of the Roman Emporeror Valens in the fourth century. It is also thought to have been used by the Greeks since before the time of Christ.

The modern Ouija Board is the combination of two tools used for scrying. The first is a wheel made up of the letters of the alphabet. The second is a glass, usually a wine glass which is inverted and placed in the middle.

The letters are usually written on small pieces of paper which are placed in a circle around the table.

It was in 1891 that a patent was granted to Elijah J Bond on the first modern Ouija Board. The following year the rights to the Ouija Board were purchased by William Fuld.

The name Ouija means yes-yes. In 1966 the Parker Brothers purchased the rights to the Ouija Board and shifted its manufacturing facilities to Salem, Massachusetts.

The Ouija Board ended up outselling the game of Monopoly in its first full year at Salem. Over two million copies of the Ouija Board were shipped.

OUIJA BOARD, the layout of the ouija board
The layout of the OUIJA BOARD seems to vary from country to country. The original and best layout appears to be to place the yes at the top of the circle and the no at the bottom.

The letters are placed in a circle starting with the letter A next to the word yes and continuing around until the final letter Z ends up on the other side of the word yes. The nine numbers from one to nine should be placed at the bottom next to the no.

The Ouija Board usually requires a minimum of two people to operate it. It is very rare that one person has the power to operate the board.

The two people should sit opposite each other and place the tip of only one finger on the glass. The fingertip should only gently touch the glass.

Someone starts by asking a simple question, such as " is there a spirit present?". If there is no response the question should continued to be asked.

The glass eventually moves and answers the question. The first time you use a OUIJA BOARD is quite startling.

Sometimes someone will deliberatly push the glass but this is easy to spot. The glass tends to move in jerks rather than free flowing.

There are stories that Ouija Boards are dangerous to use. These stories are stupid and should be ignored.

It is helpful to write down the questions you wish to ask before you start. It is also helpful to have a third person writing down the answers as you go for future reference.

Once you become experienced at the Ouija Board you will find the pace of responses coming from the glass will increase. In fact sometimes the glass will speed across the table at such great speeds it is almost impossible to keep up.

It should be noted that sometimes the communication will be in foreign languages or sometimes it is English backwards. My advise to most people is to make their own Ouija Board.

This is simple to do and most effective. Just have a smooth table to work from and cut up small pieces of paper to write on. Any glass will do, though a wine glass is most effective.

The responses you get from the Ouija Board will really depend on your attitude and commitment to the Ouija Board.

Are you a cultural creative?

Taken from Infinite Being

The Shift to the New Reality is has been gathering steam
since the 1960s.

In “The Cultural Creatives,” Paul Ray and Sherry Anderson
detail a comprehensive study of more than 100,000 adults in
the United States. They found that, since the 1960s, a huge
26 percent of these adults have made a comprehensive shift in
their culture – their worldview, values and way of life.
A 1997 survey conducted in fifteen European countries shows
that the figures are highly similar in Europe. The following
is a summary of the typical values of this new culture.

Cultural Creatives love nature, respect the Earth and are
deeply concerned about the environment. They like to develop
close relationships with each other, and to help and encourage
other people to develop their abilities. They care about
personal and spiritual development, and want more equality for
women and all cultural groups.

Just someones views on wicca

I found an interesting link at one of my groups...
here is the beginning of the article.

wicca - foundations "Facts" about Witchcraft
There is a good deal of misinformation about Wicca and Witchcraft. While I don't claim to be an expert on the history of Wicca, I'm just enthusiastic student with some opinions to share. And what I'd like to do here is discuss some prevalent "facts" about Wicca and Witchcraft. Please keep in mind that Wicca and Witchcraft are two different things. One can be a Witch and not be Wiccan, just as one can be Wiccan and not be a Witch. I am examining these facts based both on a non-Wiccan Witch and a Wiccan Witch.
