Serving as the bridge from elementary to high school, MS/K8 Schools will support and meet the needs of the whole child and engage stakeholders to ensure readiness for the academic and social demands of high school and beyond. We will help students take ownership of their learning by promoting self-advocacy and the acquisition of the skills and mindset needed to meet the demands of an ever-changing society.

The Long Beach Unified School District Board of Education approved the selection of David Zaid as the District’s next superintendent. Mr. Zaid will begin on July 1 and lead the District into its next era of excellence.

On Saturday, May 16, 150 middle school students from across Long Beach Unified School District gathered at McBride High School to engage in hands-on challenges that fostered engineering, teamwork, innovation, and problem-solving.

Free breakfast and lunch will be provided to eligible children enrolled in School Age Care or Expanded Learning Opportunities Program at 41 locations as part of the Long Beach Unified School District’s Summer Food Service Program.
