January 10, 1974
As interhouse tension mounts following the attack at King's Cross, Remus, Marlene, Allison Wintringham, Portia Winterwell, and Frank Longbottom find themselves at the center of the school's strife when the prefects meet for the first time since getting back to school  (complete) (MILD ADULT CONTENT - swearing and general nastiness). At the same time, Dorea Potter and Clio both try to figure out what James and Clio meant to each other after Dorea finds Clio looking for pictures of herself with James in James' old room   (complete) .

January 12, 1974
Sirius returns to school to face a half empty dorm room and Remus heavily burdened by his own losses and his secret, short-lived relationship with Lily, which he tells Sirius about  (complete). 

January 21, 1974
The first day back at class proves that the Slytherin versus Gryffindor rivalry has reached new heights when a battle breaks out over potions class. While Snape, Julian Avery and Evan Rosier press their advantage, Sirius, Remus and Maura play the heroes to James and Peter's memories. At the same time Clio finds herself making more enemies within her own house, but finding a surprisingly non-judgemental potential ally in the form of her dormmate, Chara Gamp  (MILD ADULT CONTENT - swearing and violence) (complete). 

January 23, 1974
Remus might be doing a marginal job of hiding how hard he's taking everything, but the wolf inside him isn't interested in covering it up (complete). 

January 24, 1974
After bearing the brunt of a disgruntled werewolf's ire for most of the night, Sirius tracks down Clio to help bind his wounds (complete). And later, Sirius visits Remus in the hospital wing and makes him face up to how poorly he's coping with James and Peter's deaths and Lily's sudden absence (complete).

January 28, 1974
Clio finds that running only works as a distraction in the short term, particularly when Hestia Jones is waiting around to try and make her face reality (complete).

January 31, 1974
With Lily gone, Tia turns to Remus to look for a help with her Charms work (complete).

February 4, 1974
The Daily Prophet releases an editorial criticising the wizarding world's inaction following the attack on King's Cross. The editor is subsequently found murdered in her home the next day  (complete).

February 6, 1974
Marlene, Hestia, Alden, Rylan and Snape look for normalcy as they meet for Potions Club (they mostly don't find it) (complete).

****Yes, it's been ages since we've updated. All of our lives seem to have gone batshit insane over the last year or so, but at least we're still writing! Here's a good chunk of what we've been working on. Remus and Lily  go on a date in Birmingham and find there are just some things they can't escape (not updated, incomplete) (ADULT CONTENT - swearing and sexual situations).

January 3, 1974
After Marlene's interview, Clio and Sirius both face Moody individually and later together as they both make some hard choices about their futures (continued, complete). Shortly after, Tia and Regulus face the losses of the day alongside their remaining classmates in the Great Hall (complete) while Remus slips away to pay a visit to Sirius at Godric's Hollow before the day's losses catch up with Sirius and Clio (complete).

January 4, 1974
The morning after the train station attack brings unexpected events and not so unexpected consequences as Sirius has a heart-to-heart with Andromeda Tonks before a brief awkward interchange with Clio and witnessing an eye-opening conversation between Clio and Kottos, her middle brother (complete). Later in the morning, Clio floos Tia, in what proves to be yet another awkward interchange (complete). Meanwhile, the losses at Hogwarts continue to mount in unexpected ways, as Maura is forced to tell Remus that Lily has been pulled from school by her parents (complete). Also, Marlene returns to school and rekindles an old friendship with Alden Mockridge while searching for a way to help her fellow Ravenclaws deal with the fall out of the attack (complete).

Lily gets home from the New Year's Eve party and exchanges owls with Claire to set up her escape from home for a date with Remus (complete).

An unexpected attack on the Hogwarts Express brings the war home in a truly horrific way, as our group loses some of their own. Sirius and Clio both find themselves reeling from losses while recognizing family behind the Death Eaters' masks (complete) (ADULT CONTENT - swearing, violence and character deaths). Lily, Remus, Alden and Cassie deal with death and responsibility in a very up close and personal way (complete) (ADULT CONTENT - swearing, violence and character deaths). And in the midst of the crisis, Hestia calls on Regulus for help, leading him to make some surprising choices (complete) (ADULT CONTENT - swearing, violence and character deaths).
Following the attack, Marlene McKinnon finds herself being questioned by Auror Moody about the events at King's Cross (complete). After Marlene's interview, Clio and Sirius both face Moody individually and later together as they both make some hard choices about their futures (incomplete).

Damn, I wish there had been parties like that when I was younger. Hell, I wish there were parties like that now, when I could fully appreciate them. LOL This was a great thread and I am looking forward to reading the associated private threads.

The Marauders' New Year's Party at James' house begins (continued, complete!!!!). (ADULT CONTENT - fighting, swearing, strong graphic sexual situations)
This one is a doozy and will be ongoing for quite some time, so I'm marking noteworthy starting points in the thread.
Following Lily's inadvertent insults, Sirius takes a quiet moment outside to calm down, but he's not the only one there (portion complete). Tia and Clio exchange drinks and words in a not-entirely-friendly conversation (portion complete). Remus and Lily avoid each other (portion complete)(while totally paying attention to each other) before facing each other - and themselves  (separate thread, complete). Clio's slightly-drunken affections are redirected (portion complete)from a very disappointed Brock Bramstone (NPC) to a very smug James Potter  before the duo disappear upstairs (separate thread, complete). Marlene and Sirius share a New Year's Kiss (portion complete), but it doesn't go quite as one of them wants, so Sirius disappears with his ex-girlfriend Allison Wintringham for a bit of time alone (separate thread, complete). And (something like five months later) Hestia Jones declares the party done! (portion complete; WHOLE PARTY COMPLETE).


January 1, 1974
Lily and Remus find themselves facing the New Year with some decisions to make about their relationship (complete). While Clio and James' morning is unfortunately witnessed by far too many people, but he and Clio still find time to row and snog anyhow (complete). Dorea and Charlus Potter come home and everybody has to face the music; Clio has to face James' irate mother while the boys have to endure 'The Talk'  from Charlus (whether they need it or not) (complete). While serving out their punishments, James and Clio have an oddly honest moment that neither one of them understands (complete).

Dorcas floos in and Hestia comes by broom, the two meeting up soon after arriving (continued, portion complete). James and Tia make a  bit of a business deal (portion complete). James happens upon Remus who is waiting for Lily's arrival; Sirius soon joins the group and the three Marauders talk about women, liquor and life in general (portion complete) until Lily's arrival and subsequent row with Sirius creates some tension (portion complete). While Lily and Sirius fight, James has wandered off and gets into his own row with Clio (portion complete). Meanwhile, after sending Sirius away to cool off, Remus pulls Lily aside to explain to her the gravity of what she's said to Sirius (portion complete).



Penseive Moments
Penseive Moments are flashback exchanges between characters that do not fit chronologically with the overarching story timeline.

October 1972
James and Clio meet properly for the first time and she steals his ball(s) (as complete as it is getting)

August 1973
A chance encounter between James and Clio in Diagon Alley leads to more than either of them had bargained for (incomplete). (ADULT CONTENT - swearing and sexual situations)

November 1973
Clio and James are both having a Very Bad Day (complete). (ADULT CONTENT - fighting, swearing, graphic sexual situations)

As will become obvious as the pre-written threads start to be posted in the near future, there had been long-term plans for a relationship between James and Clio. Obviously, given the loss of our James, we're now headed in a different direction. However, in the months before her death, kileaiya and I talked a great deal about what we planned to happen and she even wrote a few snippets that will now never come to pass. Still, I felt they ought to be posted somewhere. And so, here they are...







Again, more of Jo's writing will be posted in the near future as we sift through pre-written threads (at least one of which will have to remain incomplete at this point). But I believe this is all of the material for the RPG which now cannot be considered "canon" for us.

A week ago today, our James passed away. </a></b></a>kileaiya (whose real name was Jordan Mason) was an incredible person, a fantastic friend and a gifted writer and she will continue to be missed terribly by everyone who was close with her.

There was a great deal she had written for James that has not yet been posted. She was very proud of this work (it is fantastic) and so we will be posting it as we believe she would have wanted. This may take some time as it will be difficult to work up to these pre-written scenes.

No one else will play our James. </a></b></a>kileaiya was James to us and we would never try to replace her. However, we do think she would want us to go on. So, go on we will. This, too, will take some time. Our small group (just five of us now), needs to sit down and talk about how to handle James' absence in our storyline and rework virtually every plot point planned out. And we need to be able to do this while thinking rationally, which we aren't quite ready for yet.

Thank you again for your interest in the RPG and your patience, sticking with us through this loss.

Just a quick note to let you know that we continue our hiatus for the time being because our beloved James is sick and we'd be totally at a loss a bit silly to continue from where we are without him. We will be continuing with the RPG and are spending lots of time writing quite a bit behind the scenes. We hope to be back soon with a flurry of posts you'd have trouble keeping up with reading!

Well, been reading the journal when I get a chance. I really enjoy it and feel the actors are doing a great job with their parts.
