I hope you don't mind that I dismembered barbie and put her head on my key ring. I had been wanting to do that for awhile now, I just kept forgetting to get a barbie doll so that was great. The Altoids are, well, um...curiously strong, I've never had the ginger kind before and I must say I do like them.

Spooky Mail closing

I've decided to close spooky_mail because of fewer active swap participants and an increased number of replacement packages I have sent due to lost and never mailed swaps.

crownofviolets, I'll be making you a replacement package for your lost Gothic Halloween swap. I so sorry you have been waiting for so long to get a package. I'll be shipping March 17th.

A reminder to the two Gothic Fairy participants, the mailing deadline is next Monday, March 16th. Please post to the community when you have mailed your package.

Gothic Fairy swap mailing deadline

The mailing deadline for the Gothic Fairy swap is less than two weeks away (March 16th). I hope the two members participating are close to being done with their swaps. If you procrastinate like myself, you do have one week after the mailing deadline to send your package. However, if you ship late, you cannot join the next month's swap.

Please remember to get a confirmation number and post to the community when you mail and receive your package.

April-May's swap will be Gothic Doll.

Replacement swaps & membership requests

I'm sorry that I haven't been active for a while. Work has kept me extremely busy. I sent an e-mail to _broken_mirrors & some1inceloved regarding replacement packages for the December Gothic Lolita swap. I will be sending replacements on Monday, March 9th and will post the confirmation numbers.

As a reminder, spooky_mail membership requests are screened based on the age requirement (18 or older), having an active live journal account (3 months or older), and sharing some of spooky_mail's community interests.

Gothic Lolita Swap

I hate to make a post about this.

I have still not received my gothic lolita swap. Raine, do you have any sort of proof of shipment or any sort of tracking number through customs? I realize that it is coming from the UK but my package made it there already in a normal amount of time. It has been almost a month now if I'm correct and I'm starting to get concerned. I dont want to be burned again.

Also, I realize you do not have internet but it would be very kind if you could post about the pacakge I sent you, even if it doesnt have pictures. I put a lot of time and money into it and it would be nice to share it with the rest of the community.

E-mails were sent tonight with February's swap shipping information. This month's theme is Gothic Fairy.

The deadline to ship is Monday, March 16, 2009.

A spooky mail swap package should be primarily gothic; not a package with one or two gothic elements.

A one week's grace period is allowed for late mailing. Members that ship late are not allowed to participate in the following month's swap. Please see the rules on late mailing for more info.

Each member that receives a package should post photos and/or write a detailed description of what they received. It is important to get a confirmation or tracking number for packages that are mailed. If you are mailing international, please save your postal receipt for proof of shipment. Post to the community when you have mailed you package.

As a reminder, some of our members have certain restrictions (allergies) and special requests. Please pay attention to this information when designing your swap package.
