Spills Her Coffee

As I wait patiently for news about my ENTIRE ARTISTIC LIFE (floating around in 1's and 0's) to be recovered... I have been insanely productive.   This is a nice change from just lying on the couch wallowing in my misery watching crappy TV online.

So, my Etsy shop is finally getting updated with new and interesting things.
I have more in production, and some that just need to be photographed, so updates will be coming regularly to my shop for the next week or so.

As luck would have it, both my travel hard drive and my back up hard drive's have incurred some mechanical problems... at the same time.   10+ years of work... and my back up.

I won't know the final outcome for another couple of days, but IF they can retrieve the data (some 800+ Gigabytes), it will cost me a minimum of $300 per drive.  In addition, I also need to purchase 2 new external hard drives.  This of course happens at a time when I am scrimping and saving to afford a 2 month studio assistantship at the Penland School of Craft this March-May. 

I am beside myself with anxiety.   Right now I can only hope and pray and rely on the kindness of friends, family and coworkers to help me cover the costs of saving my entire digital artistic library.   Everything.

I was on a art/farm residency this summer, and they had this pirate ship on a post out among the sunflowers. We were out pulling ragweed when we noticed that the ship had a crew.
