post-prom natterings on
I have a sore throat, and a headache, because I was stupid enough to let myself get dehydrated.
Last night was fun. I danced all arvo, which somehow made my arm start complaining at 4 AM... but anyway. Patrick was actually a really good date- he got me a bouquet. :) And he danced! Wow! Willingly, even! Normally the only way I can get a guy to dance is to force 'em. (coughcoughCORYcough) But it was a lot of fun. I hung out with Angel most of the night, actually- she's sweet. I crashed not 20 minutes after I got home, only taking time to put my flowers in water and shower.
I was 'sposed to go to church today, but I didn't wake up until time to leave and I feel like donkey poo on a stick, so I stayed home whilst the rest of the family skedaddled. It's nice having the house all to myself- it happens very rarely. So I ate cookies and watched "Hoodwinked". Yes, I'm juvenile.
I glued drink umbrellas into my journal. They're pretty.
The music last night was a million miles from what I'm used to dancing to, but maybe that was good. If they'd played one out of a select couple of songs, I'd have started crying. Seriously. One in particular, although I can't remember the name... during the last dance I was at, up in VA, Jimmy and I sang along to this one song, and were pretending we weren't singing it at each other... yeah. Anyway...
I danced with Joey! And survived! I felt silly, because I don't even come up to his shoulder and I'm nowhere near his level of dancing ability, but I did ok. :)
So, yeah. 'Twas fun.

pre-prom musings
I'm leaving for the school prom in 15 minutes. I'm already ready to go- enough purple to kill a cow, evil high heels, pretty pretty mini purse thing, camera, sparkly things... I'm all set.
I REALLY wish Jimmy was here.
However, I'm a bit peeved at him over something that happened over the phone last night--minor thing, really, but still irritating--so it balances it out a bit.
I still wish Jimmy were here.
Sigh.

This is the SECOND TIME he has pushed back my appointment. Second time! In the same friggin' week!

To say that I am frustrated would, I feel, be putting things lightly.

Jimmy squared
This weekend ROCKED.
There was the Virginia Symphony, and putt-putt, and X3, and a thunderstorm, and cemetary-wandering out the wazoo, lots of ice cream, hair spray...
And most importantly, I finally was able to really talk to Jimmy about everything that has happened in my life to give me all these weird issues. I told him why I had that anxiety attack, why I have those issues... and he just held my hand and listened. I'd been shaking all day before that- and when I started telling him all this I've been hiding for so long, I stopped shaking. It was a HUGE relief.
I am going to miss him SO MUCH over the summer.

I feel bad on principle, but no matter which way I turn it, it was the right thing to do.
Sometimes things just have to be said.
