Erm, for some reason my Livejournal has gone all wacky. It appears as if the code I put in last year no longer works. Now the fonts look all big and retarded. Oh well, methinks it shall have to stay this way for the time being, because I have already forgotten what little I learned about the ever intriguing mystery that is the Livejournal Code Language. Bah. There was a time when I was good at that stuff you know. Back in college when I should have been concentrating on dead white sociologists and the like, I was tinkering around with html code. I used to so be on top of it too....I even had/have a fan site or two...complete with onMouseOver java scripts and my own popups (further details however are strictly confidential and shall remain sealed until....well indefinitely - let's just say I do not like to address this period of my life...boy band idoldom is just NEVER cool, is it?) I find myself continually (continuously?) bored with the whole livejournal blog thing. Mostly because there are pages like myspace and friendster, both which seem to require a lot less maintanence...hahaha. Us verbally challenged folk just like look at preety peectures...to log in and simply e-stalk people we once used to know. Lord, I should go to bed since tomorrow is my early day.
Gah! Is anyone else fed up with hearing about radical Islams burning embasies...boycotting European goods...the double standards make me sick, piss me off. "The government of Denmark has to do something to appease the Muslim world" (a quote I read in Time magazine from an Egyptian ambassador. HELLO??? I think freaking not! I am a tolerant person, I am a liberal for God's sake (I hate labeling but that's what I've been labeled so oh well). I'm sick of Islamic radicals threatening the discussion of their religion. I know that the cartoons are considered blaspemous in the Muslim world - that is all right and I can see why. We can choose to respect this. However, publishing a politcal cartoon (cartoons by the way that practice no form of restraint against other wakes of politics and religion) by a NON MUSLIM doesn't seem to constitute blasphemy. I've read that the Arab media frequently create similar publications depicting Jews. Have any Jews threatened or suggested the beheading of anyone? Hmmmm. The double standards are sickening. They set fire to their own people, their own mosques...and where are the protests then? Where are the demonstrations and threats of a future Holocaust? Grah.
To all of you who may add or delete friends due to inactivity in one's journal, here is my obligatory entry. There are times in my life where I just do not really update livejournal much..oh well. for those of you who delete people who don't comment enough on their own private journals....good for you for removing me!!!! it's not as if you ever commented on my journal either!! Sheesh, some people are such hypocrits..;p
(Oh come on, we all know this stuff happens here on livejournal). To summarize my life at the moment, I'm working to pay my bills. Anyone want to encourage me to study for my MAT's so I can go back to school part time and defer my damn loans some more?
So, I'm in my room entering in my data for some of my calls, when I am perturbed by the fact that people seem to keep slowing down in front of my house. At first I chose to ignore it, because I'm used to people slowing down and taking pictures of my house (don't ask). So finally I go and peak out my window, and I'm astounded by what I saw. I live across the street from a huge cornfield...right now it's pretty bare as they're getting ready for their summer crop. It's a beautiful view of the mountains, too. So I look out and see a MOOSE just STANDING there, about ten yards from my window, right across the street. People were slowing down and parking so that they could take pictures, or watch it. I ran outside, calling everyone in the house at the same time and we just watched it for about an hour. It kept coming closer and closer to our driveway..and then sort of shying away. At one point it started running DIRECTLY towards us and I screamed and ran back towards the house, but then it stopped. It was so funny it kept starring at me, watching me. Finally it decided to cross the road and went up the hill behind my house.
Hee hee...that's my second moose sighting this week.
