🚨URGENT REQUEST 🚨

hi. so for the last year and some change I've been the beneficiary of eyad's fundraiser. people donate, the funds would go to my savings account, and I would send the money to eyad.

I need someone to take up that torch, immediately.

I found out this afternoon that my bank will be closing down all my accounts with them tomorrow. because they can! so like. I need someone to be able to do this, because I literally can't do it anymore. I don't have a bank! they've already closed the accounts lmao! any donations that try to go to that savings account are going to bounce because as of tomorrow the account won't exist!!

I did open an account with a different bank, but it's going to take a bit for me to get that together and like. this can't afford to wait.

I know it takes a lot of trust to do this kind of thing, but if anyone is able to, please please PLEASE let me know. this is extremely urgent!!

EMERGENCY food/meds help 8/6/26

does anyone have $10 or anything for a family of 7, 4 who're disabled, 2 kids under 15, in a abusive house for food $43 for my sister, April, meds that she takes to stay sane (PTSD, BPD) and healthy (ibs, frequent migraines, jaw pain after a botched surgery)? She's been out of them TWO DAYS freaking out kinda we have no one else to to turn to for help so im begging yall we need help to get through this anything helps be it dollar or less. also please help me give these kids food to eat

There’s a liquor store near my house that seems to be run exclusively by frat boys. They lovingly curate these bags, which I browsed today while “Oops I Did It Again” played through the store speakers. This is art to me, there is beauty everywhere for those with eyes to see it

The Bori Collective joins the organizing community and @new_era_young_lords in mourning the passing of a trailblazer in our movement, Denise Oliver-Velez!

Our new ancestor wore many hats including that of the former Minister of Economic Development of The Young Lords Party and member of the Black Panther Party.

She challenged the norms of how women were treated in our movement, bringing change to the Young Lords 13-point program which would include “We want equality for women. Down with machismo and male chauvinism.”

Minister Denise was many things (journalist, organizer, anthropologist, professor) but she was most proud of being “militantly black”.

Her life is a reminder that women are more than capable to lead in our movement and that there’s so much power in being proud of who you are.

May her name never be forgotten and may her spirit live on.
