NGC 783, also known as IC 1765, UGC 1497, or Markarian 1171 (Mrk 1171), is a intermediate spiral galaxy located approximately 225 million-light-years away in the constellation, Triangulum.
Discovery
It was discovered in the year 1871 by French astronomer Édouard Stephan.
