The Paul Green School of Rock - http://www.schoolofrock.com/boston - has just announced our shows for Season 7 (rehearsals will start after the 4th of July; shows will manifest on a weekend circa late September-early October at prominent Boston rock clubs).

The shows are as follows:


Wednesdays: JIMI HENDRIX (rehearsals run 6-9 PM every Wednesday)


Saturdays: GUNS N' ROSES vs. MOTLEY CRUE (rehearsals run 2-5 PM every Saturday)


We are looking for singers, guitarists, keyboardists, and, like the rest of the Boston scene, drummers and bassists especially!

The Anvil Experience is coming to the Boston area tomorrow at the Palladium at Worcester, MA. For those of you who don't know, the Anvil Experience is where you get to see that new rock-doc called Anvil! The Story of Anvil (which has been called the real life This Is Spinal Tap) and then the band performs a short set immediately following. My friends saw this in NYC and said it was the best thing ever.

The first national tour of the hit Broadway musical Spring Awakening is coming to Boston's Colonial Theater from April 28th-May 24th! Winner of 8 2007 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Spring Awakening is a coming of age tale set in Germany in 1891. Based on the extremely controversial play of the same name by Franz Wedekind, the story of adolescence is set to a rock score by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater. The Broadway production closed on January 18th after an acclaimed run of over two years, but the national tour is just getting started!

So we had our farewell show in Newton for our good buddy and monster drummer Eddie - thanks for the amazing turnout and great night! Now be the first to see the band with our new skins basher Odi this Saturday night in Foxboro at Fusion 5! Also this will be the very last show for our killer bass player Mike so we'll be sending him off in 80's Arena Rock fashion and welcoming Odi at the same time.

Yes changes are happening with BP but 1 thing will remain the same... we will continue to bring the rock, the decadence, and the party like no other!

Hello Folks!

Its time again for me to make my shameless yet amusing pitch for you to come see my fabulous students on tour with a guest star.

This time up we have Brendon Small. If you know who he is then there is no reason for you not to come see this show...because he is funny, brilliant, and an amazing musician. Creator of HOME MOVIES and METALOCALYPSE, voted best newcomer by Guitar World Magazine, and so forth.

If you don't know who he is then you can stop reading now because that means you probably don't like METAL and won't enjoy this show.

The dates and venues are at the bottom of this email. Also appearing on selected dates are Queen Diamond and Misstallica, all female tributes to King Diamond and Metallica, respectively, not to mention TRAGEDY, the worlds greatest Heavy Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees.

i heard that the 225 bus to weymouth landing is down going to south shore hospital. does anybody know if this is true? and if so, is it already in effect or when it will be? thanks :)

This is a 2-parter:

1) I know the Quincy Center T stop has overnight parking, but I was wondering if there was a limit on when you could get in? I have an early flight on Friday morning, and am taking a cab from Quincy Center, but some friends need a place to park, and we need to leave Quincy ~4:30am (ie, before the trains and buses start running).

2) There's a cab stand behind the T station, but again, I doubt cabs will be there at 4:30am...anyone know for sure?
