Blade (Movie Series)
Deacon Frost (Blade Movies)  | Karen Jenson (Blade Movies)


I’ve always loved the overall world building in the first Blade movie. I like the realistic edge. That some are stronger than others, but no one is unbeatable. Karen and Deacon didn’t have very many scenes together, but they’ve always been a highlight of the film. Their arguments and acerbic chemistry that’s all their own. I really wish had been explored more in canon. Stockholm/Lima syndrome, non/dubcon, forced turning... Give me all the darkness and strife when it comes to these two.

• What if Deacon came out on top after that final battle and took Karen along for the ride? I’m curious about what would have changed or stayed the same with La Magra living inside of him. Would it be an easy partnership between them? Would there be power struggles? Maybe being a God isn't all it’s cracked up to be. How would he handle Karen aging? On Karen’s side, how would she survive in this harsh existence? How would she keep herself motivated when her captor is essentially inescapable and the world as she knew it is over?

• Deacon loses, but is somehow able to escape Blade. I sort of love the idea of Deacon and Karen meeting again (or having multiple run-ins) after the events of the first movie. Maybe Karen’s with the NightStalkers or working to clear the world of vampires alone and she’d like to start with one vampire in particular. Maybe Deacon needs a human element to summon another God and he’s got the perfect candidate. I just want to see them harassing and stalking and assaulting the hell out of each other on the own terms over the years.

• Can you imagine Deacon in a santa suit? Me neither, but I can picture a scenario where neither of our hero’s ever meet Blade. I don’t think Karen would have any trouble catching Deacon’s eye anyway. I can see him following her home for the holidays and ruining her life. Or kidnapping and dragging her along to some unlucky person’s house and ruining all of their lives. If he became La Magra and kept Karen with him, maybe he decides to give his favorite captive a very Merry Christmas one year?

The Purge (Movies)
Leo Barnes | Charlie Roan


These movies are like a warm blanket on a chilly night for me. Total comfort fare. They’re over the top, violent, ridiculous and pretty much everything I want from my entertainment. Charlie and Leo are the cherries on top of that sundae. I absolutely love the bodyguard trope. That mix of a powerful woman and the competent man at her side does it for me. Give me more! And if he wanted to call her Senator/Madam President sometimes, I wouldn’t be mad.

• What if, instead of capturing Charlie to purge her, The Founding Fathers decide to be a bit more subtle in their machinations? What’s an easy way to derail a presidential campaign without getting blood on your hands? Rumors, innuendo, speculation, character assassination, betrayal… Give me more about how Charlie navigates in this world? You can’t be a saint and make it to the presidency. How far is she willing to go for the greater good? How much is Leo willing to look the other way or put his own skin in the game? I ship Charlie and Leo so please feel free to add relationship drama to every part of this. Whether they stay politely flirty or it goes further, I definitely want interaction between the two of them. Basically, it’s The Purge with a bit less murder and a smidge more politics.

• Running in another direction with that first prompt, I can think of another way to ruin a presidential candidate. SEX SCANDAL (Believe me, once upon a time, this would have worked)!!! Maybe Charlie and/or Leo gets dosed with an aphrodisiac and it pushes the chemistry that already exists between them to the next level. Say only Charlie gets dosed, I like the idea of Leo being unaware of what’s happening. He’s just happy because he’s into her and he’s always thought that she wanted him too and, finally, one of them has made a move. Then Charlie might be confused the morning after or Caleb Warrens could call to taunt him about his and Charlie’s night together. A tape could leak online or someone might send incriminating photos to a news outlet and Leo thought he was winning, but now he’s losing it all. SUFFER MORE, LEO!

• It’s Christmas in the Roan White House! Charlie and Leo could celebrate the holiday together. Share some cranberry sauce, get naked and actually admit that they belong together. Or maybe the New Founding Fathers will lay siege while everyone’s defenses are down and find worse games to make our heros play than Mommy’s Choice.

Speed (1994)
Annie Porter | Jack Traven


You know the scene when Annie misses the on-ramp to the freeway and they have to make a sharp turn? That’s one of my favorite moments. The way she braces her leg up against the console and she and Jack grab the wheel, pull with all their might and everyone just screams. Who knew taking a hard right could be so thrilling? I took way too long to watch this movie and I have a lot of time to make up for. Speed is funny, the leads are so charismatic, their chemistry is off the damn charts. I’m a stan.

• I want everything post movie. EVERYTHING! First kiss, navigating fame (infamy?), actually getting to know one another in the real world, dealing with the emotional fallout of almost getting blown up by a madman (not once, but twice!), their first time together… Just give it all to me.

• Can I just mention how hammy Dennis Hopper is in this role? Lol, he’s great. Anyway, how does one get decapitated without spilling an ounce of blood? Maybe Howard comes back from the dead for round 2 and he’s in it for more than a couple million this time. Now, he won’t rest until he destroys Jack Traven! Maybe he decides Annie would be a useful tool to achieve that end? Criminals Made Them Do It, They Wanted It But Not Like This, Fuck or Die, recording devices, blackmail, unwanted arousal, shame. How far would Annie and Jack go to protect each other from a worse fate?* I love the lighter tone of the movie, but I’m a sucker for angst as well. Feel free to make my favs cry, Author.

• I really love ‘meeting the fam’ type fic and if it’s during the holidays, that’s even better. Sneaking to each others room, screaming siblings at the dinner table, burned turkeys, drunk aunts and all the things that go along with a happy family during Christmas Time. I would love to see Annie and Jack getting introduced to that side of each other’s life. Or you can Howard come to their house and destroy their first holiday together. Your choice.

*Just to be clear, I wouldn’t want Howard physically involved in any sex that may or may not occur.
