Sorry I couldn't do the show tonight, guys. I'm sick as a dog, and have been for two days now. I just got bagck from the doctor, and they say chill out for a while.

Good news everybody!
As you can tell, I'm pretty excited. Expect a few changes, but the original format will remain largely the same. The music genres are anime, Jpop, game music, and I have decided to formally expand the repertoire to remixes, filk, and geek. As ever, anything random that catches my fancy will likely appear. Who knows, I might have to run an extra night a week just to get in all the musical goodness! I'm expecting the first show will be filled with stories, namely to the tune of what I did with the bulk of 2006, where it all went, and new music released in 2006.
The hours are currently projected to run Thursdays 7-9 PM Eastern. As I know I'll be back on air in November, I have not yet picked the day. It depends largely on my IRL schedule.
More notices will follow as events warrant, but consider the Request Line officially open!

It's been a while!
I know it's been a while, folks! I just wanted to send out a disclaimer that I will probably be at Akon this year, barring familial obligations. This is also a disclaimer to the effect that I haven't forgotten you. Though there is no established ETA for the return of Big Eyes Bigger Tentacles, I wanted it known that as of this moment, there are definitive plans to return, preferably well before November 2006. I just regret that it's taken this long already to say, "Um...Sometime?" ...I'm sure you've all heard the drill: no plans until the dust settles IRL.
However, until that time, I propose that this journal, which has been gathering dust for too long, be used as an Anime/Jpop/Game/Geek music review. I'd like to concentrate on whole albums, but lone songs are good too. Everyone's welcome to post reviews, so go for it if you feel the urge. At this point there are no rules about format or post length (or anything else for that matter). Just stick to generally accepted blog/forum etiquette and all should be well. Furthermore, the profile information has been updated to reflect some additions. In case anyone asks, this is still the Big Eyes Bigger Tentacle radio show journal, but with a few additions. I have some big goals for the eventual return that include a new website and more.

The servers were down...Gah! The show last night didn't make it because the servers decided to say, "tough" and bugger off.

And I have announcements! Not only have I been running around on campus like a mad woman, I've become a RadioUTD DJ. This means that Big Eyes Bigger Tentacles will be broadcast for 5 hours a week (as opposed to just 3). This does not mean that the Thursday's show will be cancelled, changed, altered, or start to smell funny.
You'll be able to hear me on Mondays, Noon-2PM Central at radio.utdallas.edu and on Thursdays 9-Midnight Central at www.redhawkradio.net/listen.html. You'll still be able to reach me and request songs on AIM at Keliniacat, but the Monday show will also have IamRadioUTD as the other AIM. I'll post more as I learn more.

Tonight's Big Eyes Bigger Tentacles for July 21 is unforunately cancelled. I have been assigned, at the last minute, a massive set of projects to complete before Monday... This on top of a rescheduled physics exam and three physics assignments all due by noon tomorrow, and the massive set of projects already due on Monday.
To which I say:
On a brighter note, since the show IS prepared already for this week, I will be ready to go next Thursday, July 28, despite having three exams that day! I'll be on even if I have to pull myself up by my toenails, for your regularly scheduled badly pronounced Japanese.
