Solo

This was brought on by a couple of random comments in The Meta Post of Awesomeness, about Jin's hiatus and nobody knowing if/when he'd come back and all that. Which, well, I knew about. What I don't know... okay, here's where the pictures come in.

K-T-TUN went out to New York sometime in the winter, met with Jin, and there's a photoshoot of them in New York. And there's a separate one with Jin in New York. WTH, let me just line up exhibits A through D here so I can make this easier on myself.

So... (A) is one of those New York things I mean. (B) confuses me because it's from the CTKT pamphlet which presumably came out in April with the start of the tour. Implying that (A) was part of the offshots (and that's what jone_records has it as), but... April? So they went out to NY and did a deepest-winter photoshoot with snow to be used in a con pamphlet in April? Which is basically my first question. Did they use the offshots earlier, for some winter theme in Japan? When did these things actually come out? (The pictures as I have them have 2006.12 or 2007.01 respectively on them, so when I got them there must have been some indication that that's when they're from... I don't usually make shit up as I go along in my filing system.) The reason I'm so interested in that is that as soon as they did, fans would have known they'd been to New York (if they didn't know already, which is also something I...uh, don't know).

But I guess Jin's at least were held back until the tour, because if those photos (and are (C) and (D) they even from the same shoot? I've picked them up here and there all over the place and sometimes there's guesswork involved) had been sold earlier, that would have been deeply meaningful, and I am not picking up any comments saying that this happened.

When exactly were they out there anyway? December 06? January 07? (Back to my filenames.) Do we know? Did Koki say? And when did fans first hear about it back then? (When the photos were sold at the latest, but as I've just demonstrated, I can't quite figure out when that was, unless it was really with the concert pamphlet.)

... ponders... Somehow I have the feeling that this question is the wrong way round. Trying again...

- When did they go?
- When did fans hear about it?

The photos matter primarily if they were published before Jin was back (not Jin's obviously). I know that I as a fan would have been extremely interested to hear of K-T-TUN going to America at that time. ;-)

Well, okay, and my filing system would still like to know what dates to assign.
