If that trans girl gets super weirdly apologetic, like is borderline apologizing for breathing or is apologizing for things that are basically nothing/happened forever ago, whatever you do, do not leave her alone. Chances are it's one of two things, and neither of them are good; she's either bordering on a breakdown and thinks basically everything she does is wrong, or is past that point and desperately wants to make sure no one's angry at her before she hurts herself/takes her own life. You might think it's weird, you might get tired of it and want to push her away, but for the love of god do not do that. Her apologizing every 0.5 seconds is because she's been taught not to value her own emotions, but they're overpowering her and she doesn't know what to do other than apologize like her life depends on it. Her life might not depend on it, but it very well could depend on how you respond to her heart's most desperate cries for help

Reblog to save a trans girl’s life.

I'm gonna say it, I do think that even the laziest person imaginable should have a roof over their head, food in their stomach, and access to healthcare

a lot of people are reblogging this saying that most "lazy" people are actually just disabled or that the concept of laziness itself is a product of our society's obsession with productivity. this is all true, but it is not my point.

even if someone WAS just lazy and simply didn't want to do anything but lie on the couch and watch tv, they should still have these things. it's irrelevant whether some people aren't actually lazy because everyone, including hypothetical lazy people, should have their basic needs met.

if we have the resources to do it, there is no defense of letting people die because they don't want to work, and much less because they can't.

I don't want lazy people to have basic necessities because they "actually" deserve them because they ARE working or CAN'T work. I want lazy people to have basic necessities because they are people, and we shouldn't leave them to die when we have the resources not to.

if you defense for why eugenics bad is " maybe our disabilities helpful actually " you part of problem

those of us who not able do anything " helpful " still deserve live we not next step of evolution we just people stop worry if people disable could be good in future and just help keep alive in present

By way this not just about work or job. Even if person not can contribute to relationship or own care they still deserve live.

my official stance is a pregnancy is whatever the pregnant woman wants it to be. if it’s a 4 week old clump of cells and she wants to call it a baby it’s a baby. if she’s 20 weeks and she wants to call it a parasite it’s a parasite. if she’s 39 weeks and calls it a fetus it’s a fetus. “why are you so sad about miscarrying at 6 weeks it was literally just an embryo” because that was her baby. “how can you get an abortion at three months” because that wasn’t a baby. hope that helps.

This is pretty much the only take that makes any sense to me.

"It's just a lump of cells!" Doesn't matter, so am I and so are you. Abortion is morally acceptable not because of relative lumpiness but because of bodily autonomy.

I am shocked at how many people don't have an actively hostile relationship with advertising

I am skipping your ads as fast as I can. I'm skipping past your sponsor read. I'm muting the tv. I'm muting the tab. If they get too annoying I will simply stop trying to watch.

If advertisers can use every manipulative trick in the book to get me to buy their product, I am fully within my rights to do everything I can on my end to make their job impossible

Coming out as transgender on Facebook in high school was such a healing experience because I had come out as pansexual (I was wrong but I was 12/13) by word of mouth in middle school at a different school in a super evangelical area in 7th grade and I was mocked relentlessly by my peers to the degree that the social studies teacher had to intervene in my behalf. I will never forget the time someone wrote “gay is okay :)” in small print in ballpoint pen on the wall at the back of the classroom and this girl made a big show of expressing disgust, telling the teacher and wiping it off with hand sanitizer. It was exaggerated and targeted because it was a public school and everything was defaced with graffiti, almost all of it more graphic and lewd. She acted so weird and there was this sort of silent unspoken blame towards me because I was one of maybe 3 openly queer kids in the school in 2013. I don’t know if she or a group of kids were trying to frame me or if one of the other gay kids wrote it there and the girl who brought attention to it just happened to hate me but it was so humiliating and weird. I think if I had stayed at that school, it would have gotten worse.

I went to high school in a different state and I gained the bravery to come out as transgender my senior year. I was already pretty visibly GNC/queer but I finally wrote it out and posted it and the response was so different. Classmates I hadn’t even thought of as potential allies liked the post and wrote kind things in the comments.

Anyway, that’s part of the reason I recommend young people wait until they’re in a more accepting area or away from homophobic/transphobic parents to come out publicly, coming out can be such a freeing and healing experience or it can be a fucking nightmare depending on who you are coming out to and the general atmosphere of the place you will exist as an out LGBTQ person. It’s different when you’re an adult but when you’re a minor and you’re dependent on your parents and don’t get a choice of who you see on a daily basis at school, it can be so traumatic and awful and sometimes deadly.

My friend really changed once she became a vegetarian

its like ive never seen herbivore

i sighed so loud my mom asked me if i was okay and she’s two rooms away
