I am calling an emergency meeting of the Galaxy Club. Anybody with information, no matter how small, on the suspicious goings on is called upon to meet, as well as those who believe they will be able to help.

We will set things right. This I firmly believe. But it will take all our effort, and we cannot shirk, no matter what.

[Sonny was there. Because of course he was.]

Hi, Cyrus! I bought some snacks for your meeting!

[Yep. Those are two trays of fresh-out-of-the-oven pizza bagels.]

...That was not necessary. Although those who take initiative are highly valued.

That said, we must combine our efforts to fight the tide of chaos. I called upon information, and i trust you will deliver,

Meetings are always more interesting when there's food.

Well, I don't know if you know about them? But I helped recover one of the masks!

"I heard tell of them, though their connection to the current happenings is unclear. I was unable to gain access to them."

He looked up at the sky again. "Perhaps the world is falling apart. It railed against me and now it fails."

"I don't think it's anything like that." Sonny replied, placing the trays down and grabbing a bagel for himself. "Remember, the world is a REALLY big place. A few big monsters don't mean its falling apart. If it did, our world would be in real trouble!"

Y'know. With all those ten year olds running around with ginormous hellbeasts in tow.

"That is exactly it. What I spoke of to you earlier." He turned to face Sonny. "Our world is in 'real trouble', and we must act quickly."

"So, what would you want to do to fix things?" Sonny asked, holding out a tray for him to take a bagel.

Honestly just take one and make an attempt at eating it because he's not going to pay attention properly to much else until he's sure you've been fed.

Cyrus declined with a subtle motion at the offered tray. "First, we must establish what it is we are truly facing. We do not know if we face even one force or several."

Sonny just offered the tray closer.

"I know there was more than one Monster, but they all dropped masks, so, I think probably it's one force but with a lot of aspects. Kind of like a trainer and his Pokémon."

Cyrus took a step back, away from the tray. "When reaching a conclusion, one must consider all elements leading to it. What of the moon, for one?"

He stepped closer.

"Maybe the moon is a monster too? Could be! We can only see it from one side right now."

Cyrus finally put a hand on the plate and pushed it down several inches, although he still refused to acknowledge it in his speech. "It may house some manner of creature, but it itself is made of those same things that make up this planet."

"Maybe. We might never know for sure. Hey, do you want a pizza bagel or...? They're best when they're fresh like this. I mean, you can eat them cold or reheated but the bread gets a little hard that way."

Cyrus thought he had made it clear. "No I do not. I wish to remain focused on our goal."

"You can stay focused on the goal and still eat." Sonny replied reasonably. "Just try one then we can get back to The Mission, alright?"

It was clear that Sonny wasn't about to give up. But Cyrus was nothing if not stubborn. "I decline. I have said so."

"Fiiiiine." Sonny said, rolling his eyes. (Not that it would be really easy to tell.) "But would you like me to set some aside for you for later? If you don't want any at all, I'm going to eat your share so figure it out quickly!"

None of that mattered. "We are here to discuss the issues at hand, not whatever food you have. That is irrelevant to the subject and I trust you will focus."

"Alright, alright. Just remember to eat! It's no good surviving the end of the world if you starve to death!" Sonny replied before squishing two pizza bagels together to make a pizza bagel sandwich and chomping away on it.

The leap there was unencouraging. While Cyrus was often told that he was quite thin, he ate sufficiently for his energy output. "Now then, you said we may never know for sure. Of what were you referring?"

"Whether it's really a monster or not." Sonny clarified. "Imagine if it was a giant rock type - Rock types are made up of rock too. Maybe it's like... a giant Geodude with no arms."

Cyrus would have sighed if he wasn't averse to showing any sort of emotion, though that didn't stop irritation from welling up. "Think on that and you will see the folly."

"See, a month ago, I would of said you were right? But the moon isn't orbiting us anymore. It's stuck in the sky and getting bigger - What we thought we knew for sure about the moon? Was wrong. So, maybe we really don't know anything for sure about the moon. Plus, we know that there are Pokémon who can make oceans and land and move it around. Would it really be so weird if the moon was just a giant creature like that and we never realized it before?"

"There is nothing here that does not match our knowledge of the moon. Only that which moved it from its course remains unknown to us." His hand twitched at his side.

"Sure. And I'm trying to think of reasons for that." Sonny replied with a shrug. To him, it was entirely reasonable. "What do you think it might be?"
