    This is a list of latin idioms and phrases I got mostly from my Deluxe Edition of The New Webster's Comprehensive Dictionary of the English Language.  I don't know latin, I just copied these words; I am a bit of a linguaphile though.  Maybe you'll see a Greek list later.
    I took special care to make sure that all words have been copied, and especially capitalized properly.  I also added in information mutatis mutandis.  Any words I didn't realize weren't of latin origin are listed inside brackets, ' [' and ']'.

I just finished organizing the entries into memories. Just had a lot of free time... sooo bored. They're actually pretty helpful (at least as a way to pass time when your mind is dead). The only one that might be dubious: "comments" has any entry with interesting comments in it, regardless of the lj.

    I've been watching the news pretty much all day today.  It's a shame people don't watch Sunday news.  That's probably the most important type of news (and no, I'm not talking about all those "human interest" stories.)  I'm talking about the interviews with senators and secretaries, and panels that discuss opposing views on a subject.
    Sunday is about the only time of the week the major news networks are unbiased, and then only because there is a panel of analysts and (some of) those being attacked actually get to defend themselves.  But "bias" is important to news; it is not only inherent to being human, it adds emphasis and humanity, as well as perspective, to stories. To quote  Marguerite Durasls (as quoted in Give Me a Break, by John Stossel)  "Journalism without a moral position is impossible."  And of course, this doesn't mean that a reporter can't be less biased.

Well, I'm gonna try and get this community going. I've given up the whole "total revamp" idea of all my ljs, because that's just not gonna happen.

Also, let's all give a big welcome to ctakahara! Thanks for correcting me. I really should have checked that out first, but I was in the middle of watching 24 Season 3, straight. I'm such a nerd, I'm always on the computer.

And Jake, congradulations on starting to learn html. Might I suggest http://www.htmlgoodies.com. That's where I learned Javascript, but his HTML tutorials aren't bad either.

    Everyone has found that infamous "403: Page Not Found" error, and many of them are hilarious (future post?), but ever heard of a 402 error?  402 errors occur when there is an internal router problem.  Thank you 24!
