Background: The night Nick and I got together we drove to San Francisco at 11:00 pm and walked all around the city and the piers until 5:00 am.

Tuesday was our 2 year anniversary, so he suggested and I agreed to go spend it in San Francisco. We would spend Tuesday night and most of the day Wednesday in the city. So, after work we drove to the city, eventually found our hotel and made our to dinner. We had dinner at a restaurant on the Wharf at a little after 9:00 pm, got dessert and started walking around the Embarcadero. We ended up walking to the Sea Lions and listening to them for awhile. It was 10:30 at night so you couldn't see them anymore. That is where he proposed. He even got down on one knee. His original plan was to go to a spot on the other end of the Embarcadero where we sat and talked to a long time, but when he asked me which way I wanted to go I chose the opposite. He changed it to the Sea Lions because we also spend a lot of time there that night. Afterwards we walked arounf for a few more hours and then went back to the hotel.

Apparently everyone knew but me. His whole family, my whole family, Samantha's boyfriends family, everyone but me knew.

He even sent me roses at work yesterday morning.

I am seriously on cloud ten.

Hey ladies. I don't know if I missed it or what, but what time is our event on Saturday? And is it at Amy's?

Okay, I think we all decided on Saturday 12/23 for Christmas dinner. So, what are we going to do about picking countries? Should we each just pick one and not tell the others instead of doing some sort of drawing? I think that would be easiest this year. Let me know what you guys think.

I was wondering if we could work something out on Friday in Sac. I thought there might be a possibility that you guys might try to come here, but I have to be in Sac in order to leave the kids with the in-laws overnight. I don't even know if they will take the kids yet, but I'll find out tomorrow.

I just thought it might be easier for me to come there since I plan to be there already.

Thoughts? Ideas? Dates? Concerns?

I was told that it is a good idea to go and get my feelings out so that I am not holding them in, so here it is.

I consider you guys my closest group of friends. We have been through a ton together, and I am hoping that we will have much more to look forward to together. However, at this point I am very hurt. I feel that I have been overlooked this year, and this is the first time this has happened to anyone in our group in years (if ever). (At this point I am talking about the local girls because Crystal isn't always able to make it to every birthday gathering.) A week after my birthday went by and I didn't hear anything from you guys and I began to wonder. After two weeks I got a little worried and since over a month has gone by, it has become depressing. I have had a horrible year when it comes to my birthday and feeling appreciated, and the fact that my closest friends couldn't even remember to celebrate me for my birthday really made it unbearable.

I understand that everyone is busy and has things going on in their lives. Whether it is work, school, health issues or what... I understand - to a point. I have been there to celebrate with you guys even when my life was at its busiest. I would never miss an opportunity to celebrate your special day. I thought that the same would go for me, but at this point I am not so sure anymore.

Looks like Kemp can only go Labor Day weekend, and she and I can't do the 9th, the 16th, or after the 20th. So is anyone else available to go Labor Day? Or any other day in September for that matter?

I know we planned to get together on the 26th, but I also want to see if I can plan a weekend to go visit Crystal, Joe, and Jack before the end of September. I know you girls have a lot going on with school, but if there is a time you might be able to take the trip with me, please let me know. I am going to try to go no matter what, but I would rather go with y'all!

I didn't want to post this in my journal just yet because there are people that I need to tell before I post it online. Example: My cousin...

Okay here it goes:

On Friday night Justin asked me to marry him! We're going to get married in October 2007, so in a year and a half or so. We're really excited!!

Our original idea was to get married in Italy and then have a reception here. I'm hoping that we are able to stick to that plan and chances are that we will. If something comes up and we can't, I know that it will be wonderful and glorious anyway.

So, there is my news!

I'm having visions of wine and scones and stamping and creating wonderful, wonderful memories together!!!
