L-Space Excursions

Hello creator! No matter what brought you here, I'm eager to see what you come up with! Here are a few general ideas about what I'd like, with more detailed notes for each fandom.

General Stuff

For this exchange, I'm pretty flexible! I'm fine with PWP, short slice of slice stuff, wacky hijinks, or an epic plot or in-depth character study. I'm perfectly fine with all of 'this is srs adventure business', 'this alien invasion is ruining date night', or after-the-fact 'watching you beat up that bad guy was hot so let's make out'. You might also explore slice of life events or things that happen after or between canon events. Mostly I just like some kind of context for the character interactions and shipping. With all that said, I am not looking for horror or angst.

For relationship dynamics (shippy or gen), bonds of trust and loyalty are my big thing. These could be already-existing ones or ones that are built during the fic. I'm a fan of mutually supportive relationships between friends or comrades. I also like competence porn and characters who enjoy their friend or lover being great at whatever they do.

Characters being bad at things canon shows they're good at.
Plots involving misunderstandings that could be cleared up with a text or conversation, unless the characters really are that dense in canon.

I would love to receive art! I'm sorry that I'm not great at articulating things about styles. I'm open to pretty much any kind of art. I can promise I'm going to be amazed by pretty much any kind of shading and color use. I do generally prefer realistic / character-appropriate body types more than the waifish style you get with a lot of yaoi.

Wheel of Time

Rand al'Thor/Mat Cauthon (WoT TV)

I loved the relationship Rand and Mat have! They're so protective even when they're being really cranky at each other. Is it gay when two fellas are forced to share a bed, swear to kill each other if they go evil, and the forces of darkness keep assuming they're sleeping together? Is it possible to accidentally form a warder bond? Do they get flashes of past lives, or experience dream weirdness in TAR? General adventuring, romance, slice of life, PWP, or any combination thereof welcome.

I'd enjoy anything about trying to deal with the fact that Rand is the Dragon and all the fear and hope that comes with that. I also really liked everything we saw with the Warder / Aes Sedai bond - something like that could happen with the ships, accidentally or on purpose. Finally, while the show hasn't had them interact yet, Rand dealing with Lews Therin hanging out in his head is always a treat. As far as ships go, Rand's fantasy world apparently included Mat, and farm boys who aren't supposed to be getting too close to the girls might always find some other way to relieve tension. Also there was that whole accidental stabbing thing, what about some 'stabbing' as well?

I've read the books a long time ago and if you want to incorporate ideas from them that's fine, but I'd like the show to take precedence. Just treat it as a different turn of a wheel where the Two Rivers gang are a bit older and there is a lot less spanking. Unless there is spanking, I mean. Light knows Mat could use a little more discipline.

Heated Rivalry

I have actually fallen into a large active fandom for once! By the time Candy Hearts goes live I will have read "The Long Game" so incorporating anything from the books is fine. I am also vaguely aware of actual hockey and various fandom tropes like cup magic, mostly via osmosis from Check Please, so go wild with that if you want. I have also found that I'm loving any sort of Outsider POV and social media fic with this fandom.

Shane Hollander/Ilya Rozanov
Shane is wonderful with his hockey autism and Ilya is pretty cool too I guess, especially when he was being supportive or playing with those kids. Please give me some of them doing crazy skilled hockey things or, idk, shopping or ordering pizza in, really I'm not picky.

Kip Grady/Scott Hunter (Heated Rivalry TV)
These two are extremely cute and very hot, especially Scott with his beard and him being extremely ancient at like thirty or whatever. Also like his extreme U-haul lesbian energy. Please tell me more of them after the big event or what happened in the (longer than the books?) breakup period that resulted in them getting back together.

Okay but Shane managing to land Scott at some point would be amazing, especially if Ilya later found out. So would some sort of Shane sandwich or spitroast. Chirping is a plus, honestly it's amazing that Scott can get it up at his advanced age.

Hayden is a complete wifeguy himbo and that's great. He has like eight brain cells, half are devoted to hockey and the rest are divided between his wife, kids, best friend, and hating Rozanov. I love seeing him having to navigate being supportive of Shane and the fact that he's dating the devil, or trying to reconcile Ilya on the ice with him not being 100% a dick off it.

I am a sucker for friends to lovers, and I enjoyed these two greatly, especially Hayden turning into a vicious attack chihuahua when Shane was hurt. Also that thing at the aquarium where Shane jokes about getting pregnant. This could be a one-time friends with benefits or a getting off in a hotel room together thing, or a complete AU. No cheating on Jackie please.

Alternatively, in-universe RPF is extremely funny when combined with the nuclear bomb that eventually gets dropped on Shayden fandom. It's got to look like the start of Fallout out there.

Star Trek In General / Star Trek: Lower Decks

For all Star Trek requests, I would love any sort of canon-typical space adventure / science mystery / weird alien politics mission fic. Slice of life would also be cool because I love reading about how people live out in space when they're not being blasted with lasers or sucked through a negative space wedgie. In the same vein, post-episode / post-season stuff character stuff reflecting on canon events or relaxing with crewmates is cool. Finally, Trek lends itself to documentation or debriefings about weird space stuff.

In true Lower Decks style this doesn't have to be something grand and epic, it could just be these doofuses trying to herd tribbles, accidentally soul bonding, or covering up an increasing number of duplicates from the future or otherwise engaging in time shenanigans. You can still go serious if you want, though, much as the series does at times.

Brutherford - they are roommates! They solve problems with math and do LARPing together on the holodeck!

Ransom/Boimler - Ransom really appreciates a wiry guy, and that probably goes double for one he can pick up and use like a sex toy.

Brad & William - So many potential awkward conversations after the series finale.

Warp Core Four / Five - Go wild with these guys!
