the young ones

Hi ladies! Just wondering if anybody can spare the password for this week? I'm due to 'drop' my baby in just over a week and want my house full to bursting with Slimming World friendly foods for afterwards.

Oh and for those that haven't read it yet; The Amazing Adventures of Dietgirl by Shauna Reid ... I bought and read this a couple of years ago and I'm just going through it again. It's not a Slimming World book but it's funny and provides a well needed motivational kick up the arse (if anybody knows of any other books that are similar please post the title here so I can go look see!!!).

Thank you!

just started

ijoined a SW class last week, couldnt get weighed this week as class was cancelled due to the bad weather, so i cant say if its working or not yet.  i am thinking of sticking mostly to green days as i struggle to make meals without a big carb portion. i could do with some recipes that use quorn or soya mince and lots of free veg, going to get a bored of veggie spag bol.

Tuesday Weigh in

Okay rejoined a group after stopping in may.

Getting onto those scales was scary but I have only put on 7.5 lbs since I stopped. And the majority of that damage was december.

So now I have stopped beating myself up ( as was really down the weeks leading upto today) and now looking forward to making it work.

Happy weight loss to everyone!

Yay! *does happy dance*

Does anyone know . . .

. . . how many Syns there are in a Costa Coffee Breakfast Loaf? I can't find it in my Syns Directory, (It's a couple of years out of date.) and I can't find it via the online facility. Thanks in advance! :-)

By the way, I've joined BodyOptimise (the online version of Slimming World) as I was finding it hard to get to a real life group. Is anyone else doing SW this way?

Thanks again!
me: headphone freak-out!

Yikes!

Officially back on the Slimming World wagon as of Thursday. I'm signing up to a class - a bit daring before Christmas, but I'll start as I mean to go on - and hopefully this will be the start of some big changes.

I haven't been to club in about two and a half years. I hope I remember how to do it!

Eek!

Lasagna

Okay I am not a natural cook, but Im getting there.

Does anyone have any Lasagna recipes they could share that include mince? I need a step step guide as I really have no confidence as never ever made a lasagna before :S

Thanks in advance

I've been a little bit slow on the weight loss, so last week decided to really put my all in to it.
I stuck to the plan every day! Lots of free foods.

Then, to my horror (well joy) my friend came round on Sat night and we had a night in watching the x factor.. he bought vodka.. and coke although not diet. And... my worst nightmare - DOMINOS PIZZA!! I could not resist and had THREE slices.

I think this is an achievement in itself as usually i would have scoffed them all down.
Anyway that was Saturday, got on the scales last night and what do you know - 6 and a half pounds off!!!

Can you believe it? Yayayayayyay free foods ftw!
Now making a SW syn free quiche xx

Me again

So, I joined my local group (SE London) last night. So far so good - I now have all the materials etc. I'm feeling a little confused / overwhelmed though, so many choices! (I know this is a good thing in the long run, but right now, I don't know what to eat.)

Since I liked the sample menu from the magazine, I thought I'd carry on using that until I get bored / find my feet / want a change. I've also printed out two sample menues from the website, 1x Extra Easy, and 1x Red/Green. Does anyone have any pointers for other places to look? Should I just wait for the next magazine to get my Week 4 plan?

New!

Hi all, moosical recommended this community, so I thought I'd come and have a look.... how's it all going for everyone?

I became aware of SW through two friends of mine who've done really well (and I didn't think they were the types to go on diets!), so I became curious, and bought the current magazine, as well as asking questions elsewhere. It all sounds amazingly sensible to me, and as I can't quite afford classes just yet, I thought I might give the menu plans you can get for free a whirl and see how I like them. I'm definitely loving the idea of "free food"!
