Ok so there's not as much snow as they said there was going to be, but I still think there'll be enough by tonight for a meeting. I think around 8 or 9 should suffice. How about it?

- Current Music
- Elvis Presley - Winter Wonderland
Six to ten inches of snow tomorrow!!!!
Fuck yes!

Ah, yes, the first of these sled club meetings and post-meetings. Tonight's post-meeting seemed to go well, in that it obviously drove out paying customers of the Cedar Street Beaner's. Would you expect anything else? Never.
Results of the collaboration are as follows:
1. The discussion of sponsorship at LCC a main focus (when we were focused at all) in tonight's dealings. Ask your professors for a sponsorship. Perhaps there will be a written thing of some sort outlining our goals and experiences. Our general kickassness, as well. Again, ask your professor(s) for a sponsorship. The deadline is October 31, 2006.
2. Members who show up to sled are not obligated for dues, however $35 (American) will allow anyone to call themselves a Sled Club member without actually attending. (Those that failed to show up tonight should strongly consider this option.)
3. We need T-shirts, therefore we need money. Each will have a Sled Club logo (see below), personal number and handle. Choose your number as you wish, and perhaps those who have already chosen should post a response to this to allow others to know they're already too late.
4. Logo. We need one. Everyone get on it and we'll assume we will have some good designs. Post them here, or link to them or bring them to some type of meeting. Perhaps you can deal with others in various linkabilities over this internet hoopla. Anything goes, as long as it is original. We're going worldwide, so we must not have any legal troubles with copyright infringement or other bullshit (aside from lewd conduct and assault, we just don't have time).
5. Ski Club = less than the Sled Club. We will be better.
6. Field trips to other places. We will be using grant money that we will win from LCC and also money from fundraising events to fly us to somewhere foreign. Nepal was discussed at the meeting, due to the highest mountain on Earth residing it's lovely peaks in said country, so assume you'll need to get time off work to attend. (We are open to ideas, members, so just post with discussion topics.)
7. Songs for the theme/mix CD. These are ones we are thinking of downloading, so those that offer help in that area mark off the songs you have gotten by posting a response.
(I have no idea if these are all right, they are just taken from my scribbled notes on a Beaner's napkin.)
"Rollercoaster of Love"
"Eye of the Tiger"
"Winter Wonderland" (William Hung version)
"Wet, Wild & Crazy Kids"
"Chain Hang Low"
"Get Back"
"Lay Low"
"Baby Got Back"
"Sunglasses At Night"
Other songs we will use are ones we already have, which members can post as suggestions or bring them up somehow.
8. Gather new members wherever and however, including internet postings and flyers around Lansing/Holt. Stop never.
Thanks to the attendants of tonight's festivities: Dan & Cori, Ashely, Amber, Bryon, Nick, Zac and myself. Respect.

Welcome Sledders!
I have been chatting withe our co-persident (Zac), and we decided to look for sponsership from LCC to make us an offical club (rather then a loose ban of sledders that break things).
There really isnt anything new to report.
Our main hill fo the hill will be Dead Man's Hill, tho we may meet other places (feild trips FUCK YEAH), possably burchfeild park or Hawk Island. The leadership will make those plans later in the season.
I can't wait for the first snow large enough to suport some hardcore sledding.
