Should we yell I don't want to hear from you
to the telemarketers, insurance salespersons & politicians?
If a druid's practice of remaining silent is exercised,
what benefit do we loose from his/her withheld wisdom?
Why do people of authority
press their need to limit our freedom of speech?
Did you turn down the sound on the television,
when a report was against the exuberant status quo?
Am I wrong or isn't that known now
as muting?
Can you turn off the radio,
if someone else uses it to influence your life choices?
Where were you at when you were told
the predator that you don't hear is one to fear?
Do you stop listening
when someone says something you disagree with?
What is really meant by
the deafest people are those who will not listen?
Is silence really golden,
when nothingness seams to be so unproductive?
Would you deal with someone
who is making noise in a quite zone?
When should a rule of no talking
be ignored?
Are you un-nerved by song lyrics
echoing the sounds of silence?
Who among us are permanently scared emotionally after being told,
children should be seen and not heard?
Have you ever heard this one;
you can't talk and transmit at the same time?
Could you cope in the quietest place on Earth,
such as Antarctica or somewhere deep underground?
How do we hear the loudest cry for help,
when it comes only as the silent scream?
