PotAYto, potAHto
Some of you may remember the comedy of my husband and I discussing Gahndi. He was saying "GAndeee" one night (llongish "a",very long "e") and I had no clue who the hell he was talking about. (I say Gahhhndee).
Anyway, last night he referred to our son as "Too-tank-a-moon" in his car seat. I was all "...who?". Turns out he meant King Tut, which I pronounce "Too-tahn-common." I have no idea if I'm right but I'm pretty sure that's how they say it on the Discovery Channel.
...heh, heh. Tootankamoon! :)

Which Goddess lurks in your soul?
| Which Goddess lurks in your soul? Hecate You hold more power in your little finger than most do in their entire being! Hecate is perhaps the most selective of all deities who inhabit the souls of mortals. Being the goddess of the crossroads, Cosmic Knowledge, and of course witches and magic she can’t be bothered by residing in the souls of the mundane. She often chooses those who practice the craft of the old ways and those who harbor deep mystical secrets that must be kept close. Your soul is old, perhaps having been present at the birth of the cosmos in some form or another. Your ability to comprehend the necessity of death and it’s beauty have awakened a connection to the underworld, where Hecate has been known to reign and you relish this otherworldly bond. Darkness suits you well, as many of the best secrets of the cosmos can be found there. |

Help from my flist, please???
I am trying to remember (find) a poem that is relatively popular. I've seen it a dozen places but I don't know the name or the poet. It's a short love poem about how the poet's love for whomever isn't bright or loud like ... blaring trumpets (or something), but something about how he(she) loves the other in secret places ... and I'm pretty sure there's a line about their love being hidden between the soul and something else. It's got a very secretive/dark/sensual yet delicate feel to it.
As you can see - I am really at a loss here. O.o But I wanted to share this with someone as an illustration about two characters and it's going to drive me nuts until I find it. I'm hoping someone out there can help me with my obscure search.
Thank you!!!!

FIC: Insatiable (25/?)
Authors: Skyblue Rae & Laenwyn
Genre: PWP - but lots of plot, Adult
Rating: NC-17
Continuity: AU
Summary: She drew and as the pencil moved across the paper it became Victor Creed, much like he was beside the lake. As much as Rogue hated to think about what had happened at the lake a week ago, she couldn't stop. Ever since then she'd had this craving to draw Creed from her mind. What was it about him that was so fascinating?
Authors' Notes 1: Affectionately referred to as the 'Daddy Vic/Lolita Rogue fic' until we finally came up with a name just a few days ago. Our story takes place in a post-MRA world where mutants need to flee north to survive and even then have no rights - especially female mutants. Victor Creed finds ways around the system though and possibly operates above the law - so what happens when he spies a runaway that sparks more than just a bit of his interest?
A/N 2: This may just be the longest PWP in history, but promises to be loads of fun! No beta on this one, so forgive us our errors. Lots of love to Monkie for the lovely icon.
Warning: Underage Rogue here. Picture her at the beginning of X-1, high school age. We in no way encourage th is irl, but definitely in our smutty Vic-fiction
