This year’s event is part of Skamania County’s America250 Day of Service, bringing neighbors together to strengthen community connection and celebrate our shared pride in Stevenson. Help us spruce up downtown, meet fellow volunteers, and make a visible difference in the heart of our community.

On July 4, 2026, our nation will mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Moments That Made US is an exhibition exploring the ideals at the heart of the Declaration of Independence through moments in our history that have defined their meaning. Come explore how local histories and stories were shaped by these founding principles through Moments that Made US.

This patriotic 4th of July parade is brought to you by the City of North Bonneville.

Celebrate 250 years of independence in Carson! Bring a picnic, enjoy live music, free ice cream, community fellowship, and a visit from former Sheriff Brown.

Celebrate the heart of American music at the Columbia Gorge Bluegrass Festival, a beloved tradition for more than 35 years. Rooted in Appalachian, Scots-Irish, blues, and gospel influences, bluegrass reflects the nation’s cultural story, making this year’s America250 celebration a perfect time to gather, listen, and connect through sound and shared heritage.

A cherished tradition since 1908, the Skamania County Fair & Timber Carnival brings the community together to celebrate heritage, connection, and the American spirit. As part of the America250 celebration, this year’s fair honors generations of tradition while creating new memories through community involvement, time-honored events, and a shared sense of pride.

Honor Veterans Day at the Columbia Gorge Museum’s Bells of Peace Ceremony on November 11, presented in collaboration with the American Legion. The program features a flag raising, prayer and pledge, the national 11:11 bell ringing, guest speaker, and choir.
