The Government of Pakistan (Urdu: حکومتِ پاکستان), uses a federal parliamentary system and is also known as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.[1] The country has a President as the Head of State and an indirectly-elected Prime Minister as the Head of Government. Pakistan has three branches of government based on the parliamentary system they use. These are the executive, legislative and judiciary branches.[1]
Organisation
changeThe national government organises the provinces of Pakistan,[2] these provinces have their own governments that organises the divisions, the heads of the divisions are then in charge of districts and the leaders of the districts are in charge of the tehsils and Union Councils of Pakistan.[3]
