David Byrne (/bɜːrn/; born 14 May 1952) is a Scottish-American singer-songwriter, record producer, actor, writer, music theorist, and filmmaker. He was a founding member and performer with the American new wave band Talking Heads.

He has received Academy, Grammy, Tony, and Golden Globe Awards. He has also been honored in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of Talking Heads.[1]
